Publisher's summary

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn - “the best pure adrenaline-charged action writer out there today” (The Providence Journal) - puts Mitch Rapp in the crossfire as America’s enemies tighten their grip.

Returning from a covert mission, Mitch Rapp was publicly hailed by the president for his role in the fight against terrorism. After years of working in the shadows, Rapp was caught in the media spotlight - and marked for death by virtually every terrorist in the world. Now a CIA advisor, Rapp is ready to battle terror far from the front lines.

But when a Navy SEAL team in the Philippines is ambushed, all evidence points to a leak within the U.S. State Department. And a greater threat lurks - a ruthless assassin working for the most powerful men in the Middle East, who are bent on igniting a world war. With the world watching, Rapp must hold back the flames of Armageddon....

Take another thrill ride with Mitch Rapp.

Another Great Flynn Novel

I thoroughly enjoy Vince Flynn and the hero of his books, Mitch Rapp. This is yet another one that I could not step away from for too long. George Guidall is excellent again as a narrator. I love the way he narrates the Vince Flynn novels. He is absolutely my favorite Vince Flynn narrator by far. No offense to the other narrators but, I would prefer if all of the novels were narrated by Guidall. His performance pulls you in and makes the story that much better. Excellent!

Excellent read

If you could sum up Executive Power in three words, what would they be?

Conspiracy Theory rocks.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Executive Power?

The prologue, when the Crown Prince accepts what his brother did.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it is a long book, and I need time to process what I have heard before I move on. There are multiple events in this book and there is no way to predict what will happen next.

Any additional comments?

This is one of those books that I will listen to several times. So many different plots and directions that it is worth the second read after you know how it ends.

Perfect match of story and narration

One of my favorite Mitch Rapp books, and George Guidall is perfect. He has the absolute best voice for Rapp (IMO), and I am amazed how many different, excellent voices he brings to all the characters. No one else should be allowed to read this series!

Great addition to the series!

I enjoy this series immensely and adore the author. However, the narrator's voice has a NyQuil-like effect on me whilst I'm listening.

Mitch Rapp Just Keeps Getting Better

I am well into the Mitch Rapp series and I really enjoyed this latest one. Mitch appears to have turned the corner into being one involved in planning as much as executing CIA projects. At times he appears to be everywhere at once and is more involved in the "Big Picture." He is not just one person carrying out unconnected tasks. However, while seeking out the "Bad Guys," the story makes you stop to think "Who are out Friends?" Although I am a strong supporter of the Israli cause, this book opened my eyes a little. In the past 10-15 years, I have come to realize that in some ways the US might be just as bad as some of the other nations. In this book I lsaw that Israel also may be just as political and out for their own interests at the expense of others. The author did an excellent job leading the listener through the winding halls of international intrigue, particularly when much of it occured on our own soil. Rapp and Kennedy have worked themselves into a very comfortable relationship full of respect and even Rapp's love life appears possible, despite his delicate job. I am still, however, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
As an aside: two books ago, Rapps female friend's name was pronounced "Reel -ee,"with the accent on the first syllable. In the last book (with a different narrator), it was pronounced as "Ril -ee", with the accent still on the first syllable. In this book, with George Guidall narrating (my favorite narrator), it was pronounced as "Re-al-le" with the accent on the second syllable. I wish the narrators could all get together to agree on the correct pronounciation. Anyway, I am just starting "Memorial Day" and expect it to be just as good as the last book.
