Yes, the story kept you guessing and waiting to see what was to happen.

Have you listened to any of Victor Slezak’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this was the first. He was great. I am an avid Dick Hill fan and snob, but Slezak was great. I was happy to hear that there is another great male narrator who will do romance.

A great book. It kept my attention and I wanted to keep listening. Sandra Brown are great books when you just need to chill out!

A Must!

I purchased this book more than a year ago for my library and I just listened to it. Oh my gosh, I wish I hadn’t waited so long. It is absolutely fabulous and I love the plot twists as others have mentioned. You will not be disappointed. And, of course, Victor Slezak is wonderful as always. I wish he would narrate more books.

Classic Sandra. A good book but not a great book. Would not listen the second time. But would recommend.

This is one of my favorite novels. Victor Slezak does a great job. The twists & turns keep you hooked until the very end. I've listened to it over & over again.

A Story within a Story

Talk about a book that draws into a story. From the start the book has you hooked because you want to hear the story within the story. I have listen to several Sandra Brown books and what is enjoyable is the story telling. And yes if you will most likely figure out who is who in this tale, but it the why of it that won’t let you walk away for the tale. This easily is one of my favorite Sandra Brown books.
Victor Slezak at first I found his narration some what annoying, so it was the story that kept me engage. But he has a style of his own and he grows on you. Similar to Jim Frangione narrations. Not the greatness job doing female voices, but the way he reads engages you. If you like a romance with some mystery and depth this is a choice.

Lots of twists and turns

An enjoyable book with lots of twists and turns. It also had multiple story lines going on that we're all brought together at the end.

Unexpected; Surprising; Satisfying

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The overall storyline was so unusual - there were stories within the story - plots within the plot and surprises at every turn.

What does Victor Slezak bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It's isn't enough to say the characters were brought to life - they were right there with you the entire book. It was as if you were part of every scene.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!

Sandra Brown has always been one of my favorite authors - however, this is by far the best novel I have read/listened to over the past few years! It really kept your attention and provided so many surprises that I wanted to keep driving just to listen to the book!
