Publisher's summary

Retired Delta Force officer Brad Taylor returns with the third explosive installment in the Pike Logan thrillers.

In retired Delta Force officer Brad Taylor’s third Pike Logan thriller, a tentative peace between Israel and Palestine has been brokered by the United States. But the Taskforce - a clandestine team operating outside of US law to protect the country from terrorism - gets wind of an assassination attempt on the American envoy sent to solidify the treaty. The Taskforce must devote every resource to saving his life - and preventing another bloody outbreak of violence.

Taskforce operator Pike Logan and his partner, Jennifer Cahill, are charged with following the assassin’s flimsy trail through the Middle East, a trail that becomes more muddled at every turn. They must contend with terrorist organizations, independent killers, and shaky allies to uncover the biggest threat of all: an American citizen hiding a secret that just may destroy everything, including the Taskforce.

Brad Taylor is the complete package: a writer who understands how to tell a thrilling story, who possesses the knowledge to construct an intricate and utterly believable plot, and who has more than enough on-the-ground experience to back it up. His first two books appeared on best seller lists nationwide, including The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today. Propulsive and compelling, Enemy of Mine is sure to join them.

I like Pike

These are entertaining books, so far I like the series. There’s more introspective with the main characters in this book which makes a better connection. This one didn’t disappoint!

Another Pike Logan adventure.

Another strange trip around the world, courtesy of the Taskforce. While teetering on the edge of unbelievable Mr. Taylor does an excellent job of weaving a tale that leaves you on the edge of your seat in a manner that is enjoyable. Well worth the time investment to read.

Pike's Revenge

Who was your favorite character and why?

Pike Logan of course.

What does Rich Orlow and Henry Strozier bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They work well as a team.

Any additional comments?

This is partially a story about revenge for both Pike and Jennifer. Jennifer gets a bit annoying with all of her thoughts about being a good person and being better than the people they are sent to kill. The plot twists and turns in unexpected directions which keep things interesting. The oversight council is still annoying, but it gives you a sense of how frustrated Pike must feel when terrorists are about to escape and politicians wring their hands.

I like Pike the rage filled man who is on the ragged edge of going berserk and this book definitely has that. It also brings Pike back to a sane place and he shows some superhuman restraint. This book feels like Brad Taylor is hitting his stride in terms of writing and everything is getting more polished and presentable. There is plenty of action and the pace is fast. There is also a lot of thought provoking story going on.

Pike Logan returns with Jennifer Cahill.

What did you love best about Enemy of Mine?

This latest Pike Logan novel takes both Pike and Jennifer from their toughest to their lowest points possible. Through this the characters grow closer and slowly move their relationship forward while fighting terrorists and traitors.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot moves from Pike in grave danger and then Jennifer in a situation that shows her most vulnerable side! All while fighting terrorists, fanatics, and then traitors.

Which character – as performed by Rich Orlow and Henry Strozier – was your favorite?

Both readers portray thier characters in an a plus story telling fashion!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No

Any additional comments?

Brad Taylor is brining back Pike and Jennifer in The Widows Peak in July 2013.

A sure hit; minus the double narrators.

Another good one. In this book of the Pike Logan Series, you see Pike and Jennifer’s relationship grow and change.

The double narration is poorly done, I think it’d be better if Rich Orlow narrated the entire thing, as his voice is perfect for portraying Pike. Sort of like in the Vince Flynn novels, where George Guidall is the only voice I can imagine as Mitch Rapp. There’s a nice, comfortable certainty in hearing the character have the same mannerisms and intonation through the whole series.

Overall, I’d say the narration didn’t kill the book, just something that distracts a little.

More fun & adventure in the Pike series

This book was an enjoyable and engaging read!

multiple story threads come together in this action-filled book featuring Pike as the number one primary storyteller though the author also presents the story from other characters points of views in other chapters.

Good story, Bad narration

Having multiple narrators should be good. But these narrators take the same character at different times which is so distracting. And the quality of the narration comes in and out like patchwork. Ruined an otherwise good story.

Angry vengeful

Love for what you do and who you do it with and for. Sometimes I wanted Pike to buy a clue
