Very interesting historical fiction

This book is one of the first ones I have listened to in a while that got me thinking about the subject and doing research. Is it true about Amelia Earhart? Read this book for yourself and follow along on the adventure. While it is fiction, it was fascinating to stop and think about it. I enjoyed the narration and the plot - bravo!

Good plot line, action packed

Really enjoy these characters and their antics! Listening to them out of order doesn’t effect the plot line. I did get this for free to review but I love this author and these characters so much that I knew it would be good!

Super Seals

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Electra: Dane Maddock Origins, Book 6: by David Wood and Rick Chesler and narrated by Jeffrey Kafer. This book was very entertaining and kept my interest up throughout the entire book. It was a quick read and fun to listen to. There was not a lot of depth of character building but it was not needed. If you need something to fill some time and want to be entertained then this book and probable the series is for you. Jeffrey Kafer did a great job of narrating this book. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators and I find myself looking for books he has narrated. Overall this was a very satisfying enjoyable story.

I'm a Dane and Bones fan

I love the butt kicking that goes on in these books. The action and adventure these guys get into is wild and fun. I'm definitely going to continue on with the series and see where they end up!

Wish it was longer

I enjoyed the how detailed the book provided but I wish it was longer
It was almost like they off their rushed through the book I would have thought this was and abridged version. I would recommend this book to others and I will read the rest of the series but my only complaint is that it was short

Exciting adventure steeped in history

What made the experience of listening to Electra the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed all of the history of the back story of Amelia Earhart. Before this, I had only know her as someone who had tried to fly around the world and in the course of that adventure went missing.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the way that they authors wove Ms. Earhart's story into the plot I also enjoyed the interplay between Maddock and Bones.

Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Mr. Kafer does a wonderful job narrating this book This type of adventure story is right up his alley. His attention to detail, pacing, emotion and range of voices keep me coming back for more.

Any additional comments?

Electra is book 6 in the Dane Maddock series. I have only listened to this one book in the series and at no time did I feel like I was missing something by not having had listened to the previous books. Mr. Wood and Mr. Chesler have created characters that are very likable and I will be on the look out for the other books in the series.

Devoured in a day

Action, adventure, mystery, conspiracy, explosions, treasure, navy seals, scuba diving, planes, boats, dolphins but no kissing.

It was a refreshing change from all the chick lit I've been reading lately. An exciting tale full of twists and turns. I got caught up in the story and devoured the book in a day.

This is the sixth book in the series, but the first one I have read. It stood up well on its own and I didn't feel like I was missing any vital information. I listened to the audiobook edition which I received free in exchange for an honest review. The narrator was fabulous. He spoke clearly and at a good pace. Jeffrey Kafer's narration was well suited to the book, expressive and deep, without being all "Barry White" come hither.
