Good story with out asking you to suspend disbelief. Some of the Reacher book have flaw in logic but the only problem this book has is explain why the stage hands just disappear from the book.
Rescues scene don't want to give away plot
The title of book is good enough
I'm just glad I'm retired and didn't need to worry about lost sleep. I read it, I read it all without stopping. Delicious! Get it, get it now!
Jack Reacher is my favorite character. He is to me, a modern Micky Spillane character: "Mike Hammer." A series I loved. A character that earned 15 all-time best selling fiction titles in the U.S for the author.
His versatility to bring to life everyone who has a role in Child's novel
Yes, and I did!
I'm working on getting them all.
Blind Vietnam veteran. Antique weapons collector. Outdoor enthusiast. Florida State University graduate with Business major. Owner of home health agency. registered nurse.
Reacher finds himself in the middle of a family feud, with a beautiful woman and a sweet little girl. Great story and great fun!
I would not listen to this again. Male narrator talking like woman was awful.
Jack Reacher is a super-hero somehow always managing to turn even the worst situations around
No idea - might have worked better had there been a women to read female parts
There was too much in the book that just made me think, "really, this seems real under the circumstance how? this is excellent suspense how? Are you kidding me?" ... It was okay, but if it had been my first Jack Reacher novel, I wouldn't have bought another. I'm going to wait awhile to listen to the last Reacher book I've purchased and not listened to just so I don't project my feelings toward this book onto that one. Really bummed ...
I'm a retired teacher with "spastic" eyes. Audio books seem made for me! For the first time in my 65 years, reading is fun!!
This was quite a tale! Child's characters are so thoroughly developed that they're believable. Mitch is, however, a tince...superhuman?
I'm only five books into the Jack Reacher series, but Echo Burning is one of the best so far. The characters were well developed and Child did a wonderful job describing the town in which nearly the whole book took place. And, as always, Dick Hill did a fantastic job narrating the book, especially the little girl, Ellie; he brought her to life in a way that's remarkable. If you like Reacher, check it out.
I don't have much time to read so I listen as I drive. Keeps me calmer as I wait for the light to change or traffic to move.
The story was compelling but I could never listen for that long.
It has many twist and Reacher knows who the bad guy is, although you have some thoughts about who it is, it is almost always someone else. I liked the surprise ending.
I didn't want to put it down.
I enjoy the way he reads. He has a master story teller voice.
Yes just like all the other Reacher books.
I can't wait for the next book.
