    "Bravo! My kinda woman!"

Well, written. Funny at times. Reflective points. Poignant. Just a good fun read. I'm hooked on the whole alphabet!

"Have to read them all! A good one."

Another good one in the series. Her latter ones are better with more twists and turns, but the beginning ones are also a good read. A must buy if you want to follow the story.

Too many names makes one struggle to keep everyone straight. Just a little on the depressing side too.

    "Undisclosed"

Grafton's technique of having the reader walk alongside Kinsey as she solves the problem is engaging but eventually weak as there is no way to figure out the murder until the final chapter when all the important clues are revealed.

    "E is for Enough!"

Don’t get me wrong, I love this series and every single book I’ve read so far has been great, but I didn’t really pay attention to this one.

I’ve read almost all of the books (out of sequence) and at this point I am just reading them to plug in the holes rather than to really enjoy the story! Like checking them off a list.

I’ve said before that the books have a lot of filler: “Then I went here and I did that and I thought this. Then I saw that and went over there and decided this. Then when I was done with that, I decided to go over there do more of the other thing”. That’s not a criticism; I like the writing so much that I could honestly read a whole volume of filler!! but still, overall I prefer to follow the story too.

I’ve got F G H and O to go and I am all caught up, but I need a break. W is on pre-order and I’ll read it when it comes out, but I’ll save the remaining 4 for next year.

"Love Grafton's Series & Peiffer's voice as Kinsey"
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The presents and surprises grabbed me. The way Peiffer picks up the pace, and then slows it down, painted a vivid visual picture that seems better than hearing it from an eye witness. It almost made me feel like the wind had been knocked out of me, too.

Have you listened to any of Mary Peiffer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Peiffer does a great job keeping up with all the different voices and maintaining them throughout each book in the series, portraying Kinsey like the George character we came to love in the Nancy Drew series & the Jo character in the old Facts of Live TV series.

    Any additional comments?

    Another great book from Grafton.

    "Mistake in Writing"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, it was pretty good for light reading.

What could Sue Grafton have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

She made a mistake in the very first part of the book. The $5,000 appeared in her checking account BEFORE her purse, with deposit slips in it, was left unattended at the arson scene.

What about Mary Peiffer’s performance did you like?

    She was pretty good.

Do you think E is for Evidence needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    No

    Any additional comments?

I didn't notice mistakes in Sue Grafton's earlier books.
