Boasting a cast of narrators including Golden Earphones recipient Gabrielle de Cuir and Golden Voice awardee Stefan Rudnicki, this unique audiobook features each narrator taking on a different character and performing chapters from their point of view. Listeners will be electrified by their performance of this story where a mysterious little boy who begins appearing in an artist's paintings, even though the artist has never actually seen him; a partially-blind agoraphobic is expelled from his apartment by a strange entity; a widower begins to have nightmares that his long-missing son is still alive and in danger; and a young runaway realizes his companion is actually a malevolent presence. The narrators keep up an urgent pace, and link these four stories together seamlessly to an unpredictable end.
In Drawn, a mysterious little boy has begun appearing in the paintings of an artist who can't remember ever actually seeing him. A partially blind, disfigured agoraphobic who suffers crippling panic attacks if he even tries to leave his apartment is forced out by an unseen entity. A lonely widower begins to suffer terrifying nightmares that his long-missing, presumed-dead son is still alive and in mortal danger. A young runaway realizes that a man he thought was his traveling companion is actually his captor...and a predator. The lives of four very different people, driven by different but very powerful forces, crash together as they fight to solve their individual mysteries, to defeat a brutal enemy, and to save the life of an innocent boy.

Speaker, Coach, Author - in Reno, NV (A GREAT place!) I've been an avid Audible fan for several years. Listen on my iPhone many hours each week.
Completely different from Brothers & Bones, his first book I'd read (listened to) and this one was fabulous also! Different narrators added to it rather than distracting from the story as can happen in some audio books. I have already purchased the third book that I know of that Hankins has written and will be listening soon!
only because of all the different narrators.
I loved all of it. this is the sort of book that makes you think about it for days after..
the reason I chose this book is because of christen rummel, I'm so glad I gave it a go all the other narrators were great..
you can run but you can't hide
this book is just the right amount of scary. its scary real life scary and paranormal scary. it makes you think about how one action can change your life and about the imprint you can leave on someone even if your not aware of it.
I was not expecting to like this novel nearly as much as I did. As I have admitted before, I am an extremely picky reader and have to be engaged from the first page of a book until the last. "Drawn" kept me interested and creeped out from the beginning until the end. This paranormal listen has an original storyline that weaves in and out of four people's lives, and neatly comes together at the end. It reminds me of Koontz and King's earlier novels. The narration was outstanding with the one exception. The female character's narration had a voice that was a cross between whining and sexual frustration or something, ... I don't know what the hell was going on there. The other performances, fortunately, made up for it. Overall this book is definately worth a credit, and worth your time.
Drawn is a curious mix of early Koontz and Mitch Albom. The full cast narration was wonderful (Rudnicki is a personal favorite). It is my second Hankins book and I'm officially a fan.
I just had to know what was going to happen....
First J. Hankins, and I will probably try another.
I really enjoyed the multi narrator stories.
If you are sensitive to disturbing subject matter (as I am) this maybe hard to stick with.. I nearly deleted it more than once. I'm very glad I pushed through....
No, although the narration was compelling, the story itself was not worth another listen.
I love supernatural thrillers, but the mechanism that tied this one together was very far off, and didn't make any sense. Suspension of disbelief only goes so far.
With maybe one exception, all of the narrators are top notch, embodied their individual characters well, and kept me listening.
This book has a story that is hard to swallow even under fiction. I did get entertained but it was not fun to listen to mental thoughts and a couple of inconsistencies early on. I did like the action packed end and some aspects of the supernatural. Good performances by the crew.
the story was captivating from the very first moment. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns and the suspense was wild! It was a joy to listen to. all of the characters you're wonderful to get to know. I would strongly recommend this book
Finding a book that grabs you from the beginning and holds you all the way through is hard to come by. This book was so entertaining and I did t want to stop listening. Having each character with their own narrator made it perfect!
"Drawn-cleverly written story but unbelievable"
Drawn-cleverly written story but unbelievable, I even liked the characters in the story
Narration by various artists was good
I loved this book from beginning to end. Great characters and a great story. I would highly recommend it. Can't wait to read the rest of Mr Hankin's books.
"Good little story with a unique reading style"
Not the best, but entertaining and ranked higher than some of the more well known books.
Didn't have one, but prefered Boone. Just had more story to his character
That there were 5 narrators portraying each main character in the story. I actually liked this idea as I like audio dramas and this added to the overall feel of the story. It also definitely helped because it would sometimes switch quickly between characters and you knew which you were listening about this way much easier.
No, but I never do. I prefer good long books that I can pick up anytime. This one had moments where I couldn't stop and had to find ways to listen longer. But no it's not so great you can't put it down.
Good story overall, fun read. Not everyone will be happy with the resolution and overall ending, but no one ever is.
"A bit scary for me"
I have an embarrassing secret, I'm a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to the paranormal so this book was a little difficult to listen to alone at night and at points I did find myself turning it off even though I really wanted to know what would happen next my nerves couldn't take it . However during the light of day I did enjoy it. I liked the different characters and there story's but I never found myself bonding with any of them. Not my favourite audio book so far but not a bad listen.
I'm not sure who would enjoy the book, someone who wouldn't notice the at times terrible writing?
It was slow, the characters were annoying.
The female narrator had THE MOST annoying breathy voice.
