Publisher's Summary

Sculptor Clare Kimball has captured the attention of the New York art world. But big-city success cannot burn away the half-remembered nightmares that have plagued Clare since childhood. These phantoms of the past have drawn her home to Emmitsboro, Maryland, to the small town where she grew up and where her father died in circumstances never really explained.

Not much in her hometown seems to have changed, but within the dark woods of Emmitsboro something evil spreads its poisonous power. Now the once-peaceful town is wrapped in a cloak of terror, hiding a treacherous heart. And now Clare must pay the price for digging up the secrets of the past...and confront an evil that may be unstoppable, because those who practice it believe it is divine.

    "It just kinda stopped."

I love Nora Roberts, and I know this is one of her older works. Alot of people have expressed problems with the subject matter and graphic detail of this book, but that doesn't bother me. What got me was how it just kinda ended. Gor me there are alot of loose ends that never got tied up.

The overall story ended up being really good. It was slow to get me hooked but became a nice love story with a side of cult.

"Love the story, the narrator not so much"

The book was great, loved the story and characters really kept you hooked. The narrator could have been better, that would have made this a 5 star listen all around.

"Not awesome but not her worst"

I love Nora and will probably read or listen to everything she has written in time. That said, this wasn't her best. It was a little too heavy on the Satanic ritual stuff. The ending was anticlimactic. If you aren't a die hard Nora fan, pass on this one.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

it is like a Stephen King book that leaves you feeling afraid. Books for entertainment should not do that.

If you’ve listened to books by Nora Roberts before, how does this one compare?

Not even close to her usually outstanding suspense and romance combination writing. This book was way to dark for Nora.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Not sure there was one

Do you think Divine Evil needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    NO

    Any additional comments?

This book should marketed as hard core cult worship and brutality.

Would you consider the audio edition of Divine Evil to be better than the print version?

I couldn't take my earpiece out through all 3 parts! It was great.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

absolutely I was constantly waiting for the next pin to drop!

What about Kimberly Farr’s performance did you like?

    has good inflection

    Any additional comments?

definately lives up to Nora Roberts' reputation
