    "POOR NARATION"

Book is good it is the naration that is horrible, the narator talks with a lisp and distracts from the book. I not stand the constant S's added to every word HATE THE NARATOR

    "Many inaccuracies"

Just like Divinci code the inaccuracies were very distracting. Dan Brown couldn't even get the difference between Bits and Bytes. He talks about a 64 Bit "pass key" inscribed on the ring and then soon after refers to it as a 64 character "pass key" (should have said 8 characters to be even plausible). It really makes me believe the folks that are starting to write books about the inaccuracies of Divinci Code.

    "Just Plain Stupid"

Awful plot, awful writing, an incredible waste of time. After reading DiVinci, I expected much more from Brown. But, then again, I liked the DiVinci story but was unimpressed with the writing, so maybe I should have known.

"The narrator should consider a typing job....."

As far as the quality of the audiobook itself, the narrator of this title shold be fired and given a job in a field that does not require speaking. My opinion is that the story, thin as it is, is ruined by the narrator and his lack of ability to adquately portray each charachter. At times, the sound of his voice made the book seem endless. Only sheer force of will kept me listening. The story is decent, if thin. There is so much more that could have been done with it. Easily identified as one of Dan Brown's earlier books. Nowhere near the depth of The Da Vinci Code.

"Unabridged good but what was removed in this one?"

I listened to Audible's first publication of this book by Blackstone Audiobooks read by Patrick Cohen a few years ago. I enjoyed the book very much. That story was 12 hours and 52 minutes long. What was taken out of this version I do not know.
Judging by the sample I heard of this version the narration in this version is superior to the Blackstone version but if the sample was taken from the beginning of the book then this version is lacking a lot. It is a good thriller and I would recommend the book. I'm not sure about this version as I didn't listen to it and I'm not inclined to buy the book again to find out but the unabridged version kept me entertained for a while.

    "Do not listen to them!"

Those people, that give the book bad reviews aren't looking at the fact, that most people listen to audiobooks for fun, not to find as many plot holes as possible. This book may not have such a deep plot as Angels and Demons, but somehow it kept me listening. And I couldn't stop until I finished. And then, I listened to it again. By the way, this version has a way better narration, than the unabridged one.

Outside the Catholic Church related novels, I believe this is one of Dan Brown's best works!

It was easy listening. But a little predictable. This book had a great twist. In all it was ok.

    "Not his best"

I had read all of Dan Brown's books and this was my first audiobook. It took a couple of hours to get used to the male narrator trying too hard to do the female characters. I liked the book OK. It was my least favorite. My favorite is Angels & Demons and then Deception Point! I love this author. He educates and entertains!
