"Harris keeps the action going nonstop in this bubbly brew of supernatural spice and whimsical whodunit that's more fun than a barrel of beignets." (Publishers Weekly)

The best in the series

I love this series. Funny and exciting. This book is the best in the series mostly because of Quinn. I just wish there was more of him in the series.
The narrator is great, gives life to characters.

another good book

the ongoing adventures of sookie stackhouse continue to keep me riveted. the sexual tension, the violence, and adventures of this demure Christian woman has an all to interesting life for a barmaid. it is well written... but I do wish it would have taken her back to her home before ending. but that's a minor flaw and maybe what helps draw readers to the next book. I recommend this book to the super natural lovers who like some sexual romance without getting too sexually icky but definitely enjoys violently icky.

More is revealed

Another great Sookie Stackhouse book. Some interesting things are revealed in this book pertaining to Sookie's relationship with Bill and Eric. The first part of the book was a little slow but it made up for it in the second half which was non-stop suspense and intrigue. Quinn has grown on me some in this book and Sookie is getting tougher.

Back To Usual Quality

The Famous Sookie Accent is back, tho Eric is hit&miss! Good story, if predictable as far as mystery; I was way ahead all through.. Quin was a real plus!

This is one of my favorite Sookie Stackhouse novels. I LOVE Quinn the tiger. I think he is sexy as hell. I had the ooportunity to revisit this novel via audible audiobooks. Happy to say it hasn't changed my opinion. The chosen narrator, Johanna Parker was perfect for the job. She takes on Sookie with gusto, bringing our southern belle to life. She does a great job voicing the others characters too. I am glad that one of my favorite Sookie tales is even better on audio.

Typical Sookie

I've read through the series three times. Now I'm listening to them. The narrator sure does sound like Miss Sookie. It's like visiting an old friend you haven't seen for a while. Very enjoyable.

A Bengal Tiger, really....

I wouldn't mind meeting Quinn myself, violet pansy eyes and all. Once again the writer held my interest throughout. And Bill, who knew?

Enjoyed this one

What I like about this series is each book distinctly changes the direction of Sookie's life and so every book is interesting because different things happen. I've read/listened to books that were twice as long as this one and the storyline has barely moved along and nothing changes too much and I find that boring. So Charlaine Harris really moves the storyline along well and keeps me interested. The Sookie books are always an enjoyable listen - the action parts keep you listening far longer then you plan to because you look forward to what's going to happen next.
