Great audio book

Well read and presented. The method and voices were done outstanding. A little long but kept me interested.

Audible is in our Debt...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The book is great... The narration just plain sucks...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Debt of Honor?

When John MacDonald finally finished reading...

How could the performance have been better?

Plenty more better narrators out there...

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Have 'read' this book before & downloaded it as part of the series to listen too whilst I drive... This one almost put me to sleep... That is no reflection on the book, just the mono tone drone of the narrator...

Any additional comments?

Would ask for a refund if I could get a copy anywhere else...

amazing narration

At first I wasn't sure about the narrator - must say that my opinion is completely changed - the closing remarks by Ryan gave me chills as it was narrated. Another fantastic fiction by Clancy, and an excellent performance by MacDonald

Great story as usual

Enjoyed the story as usual. Always enjoy Clancy's writing. However this is the first audio book in the series, that I felt the reading was not as good. The performer handle all duties well , but his voice made most characters sound like pompous asses.........just my opinion........

bad narrator

The narrator has a really monotone voice that is extremely nasally. The story itself holds my interest, but it sounds like the guy is reading the story with a clothespin over his nose. It almost makes it so I don't want to even listen.

Great Story. Monotone narrator

I've read this book many times and wanted to try the audio version. In the future, I will try to remember to avoid anything read by John MacDonald.

Love the book not the Narration

Love Clancy's Ryan series, have for decades. John MacDonald very computer like, almost a robotic monotone in nature. Just finished Sum of All Fears prior to this... Much more depth and emotion conveyed by that narrator.

A Great Book to a Fantastic Series

Tom Clancy always did his homework for accuracy. Those that have kept the Jack Ryan series going have done a fantastic job. The book is worth the cost and time.

Sleepy sounds

John MacDonald was a terrible fit for narrator of this novel. Fought several times to listen through.

great book, good narrator, terrible editor.

Another great addition to the Jack Ryan series. High patriotism, action, and suspense, keeping you glued to it waiting for whats next.

The editor did not do their job. They artificially slowed down the narrator, causing the highs and lows to be cut off, and making it sound monotone and robotic.

You have to speed up the recording to between 1.1 and 1.25 to get back any of the actual narration.
