Publisher's summary

Jordan Glass, a photojournalist on a well-earned vacation, wanders into a Hong Kong art museum and is puzzled to find fellow patrons eying her with curiosity.

Minutes later, she stumbles upon a gallery containing a one-artist exhibition called "The Sleeping Women", a mysterious series of paintings that has caused a sensation in the world of modern art. Collectors have come to believe that the canvases depict female nudes not in sleep but in death, and they command millions at auction. When Jordan approaches the last work in the series, she freezes. The face in the painting seems to be her own.

This unsettling event hurls her back into a nightmare she has fought desperately to put behind her - for, in fact, the face in the painting belongs not to Jordan but to her twin sister, murdered one year ago.

At the urging of the FBI, Jordan becomes both hunter and hunted in a duel with the anonymous artist, a gifted murderer who knows the secret history of Jordan's family, and truths that even she has never had the courage to face.

Each word is placed in it's perfect place! I could see, touch and feel each scene. Remarkable! As beautiful and moving as the most amazing painting detailed in this book!

Another wonderful book by Greg Iles

A tip—slow down the audio speed to .8 or .9x if you want to experience the true Southern drawl as it was intended to be heard. Otherwise, an exceptional story and reading.

Good book, great voice over!

I enjoyed listening to this book. The story was good and different than what I've been hearing lately. So it was a nice change. The voice over actress was fantastic! She's really a great actress! She brought the character to life and was able to really create all the other separate characters. As a photographer, I enjoyed listening to the story about a photographer.

Great!

If you’re looked for a suspenseful book this is it! I was on the edge of my seat and got a little weepy at the end. The twists and turns will make you feel like your on a roller coaster.
I also loved the narration by Dick Hill. He has done a number of Ike’s’ books and I love his performance.
