Publisher's summary

Jordan Glass, a photojournalist on a well-earned vacation, wanders into a Hong Kong art museum and is puzzled to find fellow patrons eying her with curiosity.

Minutes later, she stumbles upon a gallery containing a one-artist exhibition called "The Sleeping Women", a mysterious series of paintings that has caused a sensation in the world of modern art. Collectors have come to believe that the canvases depict female nudes not in sleep but in death, and they command millions at auction. When Jordan approaches the last work in the series, she freezes. The face in the painting seems to be her own.

This unsettling event hurls her back into a nightmare she has fought desperately to put behind her - for, in fact, the face in the painting belongs not to Jordan but to her twin sister, murdered one year ago.

At the urging of the FBI, Jordan becomes both hunter and hunted in a duel with the anonymous artist, a gifted murderer who knows the secret history of Jordan's family, and truths that even she has never had the courage to face.

I couldn't put it down

The colorful and expressive way the author paints the story, brings the characters and images to life. You are immersed in the moment and feel every emotion, every joy, every pain and it keeps you wanting more.

Could NOT turn off Dead Sleep

And it cut into my sleep time! Susie Breck did a great job narrating and the story line marched in a furious line to the end - which I liked also. Am recommending to all suspense readers!

Good Listen

I am a Greg Iles fan and enjoyed listening to this book after I got used to the accent of Susie Breck which I can't quibble with because she still made the main character seem smart and believable. I normally figure out the ending by the middle of the book but it did have a little twist that I wasn't expecting. It is a well written book without over doing it in "discriptionitus" There were certain areas that seemed a little drawn out but for the most part I would recommend this book and will probably listen to it again this year. Enjoy!

Dead Sleep

All I can say is WOW!!! I downloaded this book when I saw it on a Goodreads member, ( want to read list.) The title seemed interesting so I read the summary. I was hooked! From the first page to the end. I couldn't put it down! My headphones were on all day today while I cleaned my house. I loved the ending, and he did a great job of keeping me hooked throughout. The storyline was so imaginative! The only thing that I didn't understand was the "raspyness" of the narrator's voice. Is it me? Did I miss something?

A perfect story

Wow. This is a great book. Fiction, maybe, but laid out in a way that could be very real.

Jordan Glass

I have read the PENN Cage stories and Jordan was in the last book. It was great to know how she started.

Each word is placed in it's perfect place!

Each word is placed in it's perfect place! I could see, touch and feel each scene. Remarkable! As beautiful and moving as the most amazing painting detailed in this book!
