Publisher's summary

Ex-CIA master assassin Court Gentry has always prided himself on his ability to disappear at will, to fly below the radar and exist in the shadows - to survive as the near-mythical Gray Man. But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before.

A killer who is just like him.

Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry. But now, Whitlock is a free agent who has been directed to terminate his fellow student of death. He knows how his target thinks, how he moves, and how he kills. And he knows the best way to do the job is to make Gentry run for his life - right up until the moment Dead Eye finally ends it.

Don't let this be the last Gray Man Book!

Would you consider the audio edition of Dead Eye to be better than the print version?

Yes! Jay Snyder is so incredible! He captures every accent, every emotion, male, female, etc. You always know whos talking and can feel the excitement!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead Eye?

There were so many. The scene on the lake had me gripping my seat!

What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?

EVERYTHING! He didn't miss a beat as usual.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did laugh, no crying but it did make my heart race a more then once.

Any additional comments?

This series is exceptional! I seriously hope there is more to come.

Great Continuation of a Great Series

This has been a really enjoyable series. I had not heard of the Gray man novels before, but tried one when they had the the first book for free. I listened to that one, and then downloaded the remaining three books. I found this last book the best so far. The series is well written like the Jack Reacher series, however, I find the character actions in the Gray Man series easier to believe and more realistic. The narrator also does a great job, and I like that it is the same one for all the books so far. Highly recommended.

The Gray Man is Back

If you like the gray man, and you enjoy the richness that Greaney has brought to Tom Clancy's works, then you'll love this story. I am always pulling for the Gray Man, and this is one of the best Greaney's written.

Best Tier 1 Assassin novels out there

I really love black ops/top assassin stories. I love hearing about the skills they need to possess to do what they do. This one is rather realistic even though the main character is very lucky, he is also so fun to read/listen about. Mark Greaney has done a great job painting the world that the Gray Man must live in. Constantly on guard, never being able to get close to anyone. It makes for some really great stories. One of my top favorite series without a doubt.

Good story but a little over the top

I would put this book at a solid 4 star rating. The plot was interesting and the characters were well-established. Many of the scenarios were so far fetch that it made it unbelievable. While there were portions of the story that were hard to turn off due to your desire to hear what happens next, there were few.

All in all I enjoyed hearing the story. I would have no problem recommending this to others.
