Ex-CIA master assassin Court Gentry has always prided himself on his ability to disappear at will, to fly below the radar and exist in the shadows - to survive as the near-mythical Gray Man. But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before.

A killer who is just like him.

Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry. But now, Whitlock is a free agent who has been directed to terminate his fellow student of death. He knows how his target thinks, how he moves, and how he kills. And he knows the best way to do the job is to make Gentry run for his life - right up until the moment Dead Eye finally ends it.

Don't let this be the last Gray Man Book!

This has been a really enjoyable series. I had not heard of the Gray man novels before, but tried one when they had the the first book for free. I listened to that one, and then downloaded the remaining three books. I found this last book the best so far. The series is well written like the Jack Reacher series, however, I find the character actions in the Gray Man series easier to believe and more realistic. The narrator also does a great job, and I like that it is the same one for all the books so far. Highly recommended.

Great Continuation of a Great Series

This is the last so far that I have gotten on audible for a fast-paced assassin book me and my husband both have been listening to this and have found it to be a wonderful edge of the seat or couch

I absolutely love the series!!

I really love black ops/top assassin stories. I love hearing about the skills they need to possess to do what they do. This one is rather realistic even though the main character is very lucky, he is also so fun to read/listen about. Mark Greaney has done a great job painting the world that the Gray Man must live in. Constantly on guard, never being able to get close to anyone. It makes for some really great stories. One of my top favorite series without a doubt.

Best Tier 1 Assassin novels out there

If you like the gray man, and you enjoy the richness that Greaney has brought to Tom Clancy's works, then you'll love this story. I am always pulling for the Gray Man, and this is one of the best Greaney's written.

I would put this book at a solid 4 star rating. The plot was interesting and the characters were well-established. Many of the scenarios were so far fetch that it made it unbelievable. While there were portions of the story that were hard to turn off due to your desire to hear what happens next, there were few.

All in all I enjoyed hearing the story. I would have no problem recommending this to others.

Good story but a little over the top

The gray man series is the best out there. The action is non-stop the story line is deep in the characters come to life. I can’t wait to read the next one

Another hit

Love the series. This time Sierra 6 must not only outrun everyone in the world but also a special hitman. Court always has a way to go up an almost impossible odds and fight them head on. He is the kind of guy that you wish you could be. The narrator is always great. He really makes sierra 6 come alive and feel like your right next to him and in his head.

Binge worthy

The Gray man vs Deadeye.

Good story, thoroughly despicable bad guy, GREAT use of equals, almost, going head to head. Teach Cort how to drive! The idea that the most dangerous man alive can't safely navigate a motor vehicle is idiotic. Further CG could simply hide in NC and learn from a former team member, or a son or daughter of the deceased team mate, that is currently a NASCAR driver. Love the series BUT, the idea of CG against the entire clandestine service element of the US is getting old. Albeit it is the bad guys within government, his ability to survive without killing any good guys has run its course. His 1st handler, Don?, was interesting.
