It's the late '70s and Max and Little Billy are back from Vietnam trying to mind their own business when they stumble onto the murder of a local boy. With organized crime and local thugs on their trail, it's up to these two local heroes to solve the murder.

"Dead Dog is a sharp, intelligent thriller, reminiscent of the Hap and Leonard series. A very satisfying read!" (Ryan C. Thomas, author of Hissers)
I would not listen to it again but I would recommend it. The story was told well enough that I would not need to have another reading to remember it.
This isn't my typical story genre but it came highly recommended. The story moved at a good pace and kept me interested the entire time. I also enjoyed the location and the description of the terrain and creatures. That brought a well rounded feel to the story.
My first Mr. Hacker performance and I will be looking for more. His style brings a lot of depth to the characters and really pulls you into the story. Quite often a reader can make or break a book. Mr. Hacker makes this book for me.
Yes. I could never read any book as well as this audio book was read.
The descriptions through out the story reminds me of listening to Will Patton reading a James Lee Burke story.
Feelings. You are part of each character.
Foul language is constantly used and is part of the story for the characters. If off color language is acceptable to you then this book will be in your all time top ten list.
