Publisher's summary

Winter is losing its grip. For Billy and the survivors who began the nightmare, the loss of Steve Hobart is devastating, but could they finally be finding a place to truly call home? Kevin resumes his original quest for a safe place in the Badlands of the Dakotas, but with a whole new gang. However, they stumble across another group of survivors and face a new dilemma. Do you try to save others at the risk of those you know and love? Around the world, small bands of survivors fight to carve out a place for themselves, whether it is Sauvie Island or the British Isles...the struggle is the same. More horrors await, but with it, the first children of this new world bring hope...

Awesome Series!

Would you listen to Dead again? Why?

Yes i would listen again. I am sure there are things that i missed or maybe misheard. I did rewind it a bit a couple times just to be sure i caught it all. I would listen to the whole series again!

What other book might you compare Dead to and why?

I don't really have anything else to compare it to except for all the other books in this series. I haven't read or listened to another book that has gone as indepth to the actual zombies themselves, not so much this book as in previous ones although the kids were at least brought up in this one. What the zombies are thinking (or not as the case may be) and the animals... still have questions on the animals (cats!!!!)

Which scene was your favorite?

I have to say the part with the group trying to meet with the trailer park group to try to come to an "understainding"? is that the right word... well, anyway that was one of my favorite parts. from when "our" group walked up all the way to when they left. I also like the cats part, it did leave me with questions about some of the animals... i'm always curious about the animals. I also liked the baby... it did answer at least some of my wonderings on what would happen if type questions.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I almost cried at a few places, i probably would have if i hadn't been at work listening. I did laugh at a few parts, like the character taking care of the girls' misunderstanding and the women's reaction to him about it. Steve's baby gave me the misty eyes, loved Steve and still can't believe he is gone.

Any additional comments?

Love all these books!!! They are a must read for any zombie fan!

Never a Dull Moment!

The world is now free reign for the demented and psychopaths, who used to have to restrain their sick fantasies for fear of law and punishment.

Now it’s any mans land and vigilante justice is the new way of life. Thank goodness there are still good guys fighting for the meek and vulnerable! The question is, will the moral, ethical survivors be able to keep on, and finally create a decent way of life for themselves? Considering all the continuous losses suffered from zombies and decrepit humans alike, I am worried, and loving the nonstop emotional and action packed plot!

Onward to book 8 in this phenomenally well written, smart series!

Still a Great and Addictive story. Smaller gripes then the last

I love this story, very addicting I love that the series is continuing. Kevin's crew is by far my favorite. Love Vicks story, and the rest. Really not a bad story this time which was great. Only two small gripes. Pissed about John. Can't see anyone following a 18 year old, Not a bunch of experienced adults. And I guess more a gripe from the last book, zombies walking underwater and navigating to an island. Horribly unrealistic. They can barely walk on land. A normal live human can't just fall into the water and know what direction they should go let alone be able to walk on the lake or ocean floor ( currents anyone) so much is wrong with that.. I could see currents beaching them but not with the help of zombies navigating. But that's more last story not this one. And still have an issues with the zombies getting smarter thing, makes no sense. But in spite of that.. Great great story.. You will love it and be engaged

Awesome!!

Have you listened to any of Andrew McFerrin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

it took me a bit to get used to his way of reading, but by the time I finished book seven, his voice was like a familiar friend that I couldn't wait to hear from again.

Any additional comments?

Easily my new favorite books. I finished the seven available and immediately started listening to the first again. Can't wait for the next book!

amazing!

T W Brown's Dead: Reborn is the seventh book in a series about a zombie apocalypse and different perspectives of it. IT gives the reader multiple perspectives of the going ons. With each book, this series gets better and I get more drawn in. I laugh, I cry, I scream... it's amazing how much I am invested in this story.

Narrator does a fantastic job bringing the story to life. Really brought the characters' personalities out. Love it!

Great continuation of amazing story. I

Great strory love Billy as new focus. Wish Kevin would stay dead I know he is just a man after all not a superhero but he does such reckless stuff and its getting comical. The statement to the effect of not knowing the population density of Chicago was baffling. They went through Gary which is murder capital number 1 everyday. To go to the worst part of Chicago. Dr Zahn is annoying as well her charachter motivations are sometimes confusing. Its still one of the best zombie series out here.

Again, another great edition.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes and I have

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. I was constantly worried about Kevin and his group. I've seen to grown most attached to them since Steve Died. When Brown killed off Steve, I realized any of his main characters were subject to getting killed. At first this bothered me, but there are enough groups in this saga to keep your attention towards what's going to happen to them next.

What does Andrew McFerrin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I wasn't a big fan of McFerrin when I first started listening to Dead, but he has grown on me. It is still a little annoying when he draws out words like "well...." and such. But, he is a rock-steady performer, who has a great voice and is articulate.

Any additional comments?

I have to give it to Brown for his level of gore and brutality. One in which I will probably never achieve (I don't know if I have the stomach for it). Every encounter is new and not repetitive, from what the zombie's appearance may be to how someone gets hurt or dies is great. His attention to detail and realistic situations is top notch.

Bring on more of this series!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Yet another great installment in this series. Andrew McFerrin continues to be a fantastic narrator. I just love this series, and continue to look forward to the next book in the series. So excited that there are 12 books in this series!

Another Great Story

Newly introduced characters and their stories are really great additions in this book. The author has left a lot of room to keep expanding the DEAD universe. I hope he continues to develop these characters!
