Erin Neal has been living in seclusion since his girlfriend's death, and he isn't happy when an oil company executive comes calling. Some weak story lines but enjoyed it

When they did not immediately call the FBI I felt it was a weak story line.

Good characters, nice plot, sometimes not believable but I really enjoyed it none the less.

Good read

Narrator sounded a bit like David Spade. Good listen. Great story line. 10 of 10 would suggest.

Thought provoking

This was a great story that raised some very interesting facts about the world’s dependence on petroleum. Does not preach, though. Just makes you think.

Expected More

I expected more from the author that took over for Vince Flynn after he passed away.
In spite of the environmental wacos and a few more lefty plugs than I would like I did enjoy the destruction of the extremist environmental narrative. At times Mills can show the silliness of some of the extreme arguments
The performance was excellent and overall the story was quite good.

Not Mills’ best

I was excited to see a Kyle Mills title among my free options - he became one of my favorites after seeing what he did with Vince Flynn’s (RIP) Rapp series. This one, though, was tough to get through. I didn’t care for any of the main characters and, even though I just finished this two days ago, struggle to think of any of their names. The “hero’s” GF was absolutely awful and I found myself talking down to her every time she spoke - she is a far cry from Anna Reilly and Irene Kennedy. I’m not giving up on Mills and am about to give him another try on a book I have to pay for.

Slow

Weaved,serpentined and wriggled like a snake. Did not hate it. Just about to put it down when the magic started. I’m still not sure who the hero is in the Story I’ll leave that to you.

Good read

Very entertaining. Could this really happen?

Interesting read. Well-balanced.

This is a rare read because it is well-balanced. Not your usual bad guys. The reader is not my favorite. Pretty flat performance and inflections seemed off to me.

Just okay

I felt the character development was lacking and all mystery was gone very early. All in all pretty formulaic and predictable.
