A sudden burst of radiation is detected beneath the desert in Iran. Alex Hunter – code name Arcadian – and his highly trained incursion team are dropped into the ruins of Persepolis. All they find is an empty underground facility – nothing to explain the gamma spike. It is as if a black hole has swept everything away....
Israel is threatening nuclear war. And someone, or something, is draining the fluids from the bodies of Iranian soldiers in the desert. If a black hole has taken everything, could something have come back? And then another radiation 'event' occurs. An ancient prophecy is unraveling.

Love Sean Mangan's work
Please, much as I like and have listen to the authors work, his comments at the start of the story gave away the basic plot line ! It's deflating knowing whats going to happen.
Please! No more author spoilers at the start of stories !
Whoever said this author was in the style of Clive Cussler is so totally wrong. That was an insult to Cussler. This book was garbage and I don't know why I listened to it. It took over an hour to even get started. Ridiculous storyline. Thankfully I didn't use another credit on this author. The only thing that was worthwhile at all was the narrator.
One thing this has taught me, pay attention to the bad reviews, much more truthful.
No, there are great authors out there, just not this one.
Mangan was fine. When the book started the author was reading and it was awful. I almost quit before the actual book started.
only the narrator
This is more sci fi than a thriller...nothing thrilling or suspenseful about this trash. I know my mother taught me if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all...so I shouldn't written a word.
THIS book kept me interested from beginning to end....well written..
he is easy on the ears, to listen to.
I have not finished the book, not sure if I will spend the time because there are some good books in my Library waiting for me. In my opinion, the author does not have strong writing skills, but his first book was exciting enough to forgive and forget the writing style. This book just does not deliver the excitement, but it might near the end...yet I am asking myself is slogging through the main body worth it?. I will definitely try the next installment, hoping for better.
I enjoyed the first book, but found this book lacking. This is so subjective, but maybe I just do not like books set in the boring dessert. I also did not feel the connection between the characters, no one was interesting. In this family, we are amateur astronomers so I was very interested in the black hole, but that fizzled also.
