When you're caught between two evils, only the most decisive will survive. The 13th audiobook in action supremo Stephen Leather's Spider Shepherd series is his most pulse-pounding yet....
A violent South London gang will be destroyed if Dan 'Spider' Shepherd can gather enough evidence against them while posing as a ruthless hit man. What he doesn't know is that his work as an undercover agent for MI5 is about to intersect with the biggest terrorist operation ever carried out on British soil.
Only weeks before, Shepherd witnessed a highly skilled IS sniper escape from a targeted missile strike in Syria. But never in his wildest dreams did he expect to next come across the shooter in a grimy East London flat. Spider's going to have to proceed with extreme caution if he is to prevent the deaths of hundreds of people, but at the same time, when the crucial moment comes he will have to act decisively.
The clock is ticking, and only he stands between us and Armageddon....

"Let Spider draw you into his web, you won't regret it." (Sun)
Absolutely brilliantly written by Stephen Leather. I have had audio books now for three years so as you can imagine I have listened to a lot of books, but Mr leather in my opinion is the best , I just wish the Dan shepherds character could come to life on our screens one day, and I have to say Paul Thornley is for me the best action narrator around
"How have I lasted for 13 of these?"
so predictable. I must be really lazy going for the 13th book. The plot, spider undercover with London gangsters while at the same time an IS threat is afoot. Hmmm havent we been here before. I shouldn't complain, you know exactly what you're going to get, it's like Groundhog day. nothing happens for most of the story but the end is good. I'm going to try and not go for 14 but probably will because I am lazy. Maybe instead, I should just listen to a book I know I liked again?
"Couldn't stop listening."
I use audible tops the time and get to sleep but this kept me awake all night. Brilliant story with loads of twists and stunning finish.
"Dan "Spider" Shepherd, on top form!"
A big fan of Stephen Leathers novels , so was very happy when this, the latest in his "Dan Shepherd" series published.
Great interweaving of plots and characters, with a few "developing"twists in the tale as the story builds to an exciting climax.
Paul Thornley has a style of narration, and brings the characters to life for me.
Love this series I feel I know "Spider" and care about him and what happens in his life.
I've been hooked since "Hard Landing"!
"Thrilling - up with the best storytellers"
Another brilliant book, one of the best series available, if not, the best - The Spider Shepherd series is worthy of anyone's precious time
"Refreshing to have a reader with the ability to pull off so many accents"
The reader makes this book . Great story well read . Paul Thornley is very good and brings Stephen Leathers work to life . The accents were very good and well maintained throughout. Bravo ..!!!
"Awesom, loved it!"
Please don't stop writing the Dan Sheperd stories they are the best ever, got to best link re Son & Father to continue for ever!
"Spider great as always"
Another great instalment, of Dan "spider" Shepherd...
Very topical storylines, neatly woven together as always, from Syria to London, Turkey, Gibraltar and Spain.
I hope he continues for years to come, one of my most favourite authors.
"Spider hits the spot again"
Stephen Leather has a knack of producing gripping stories, Spider is head deep in it again, love the journey we have been on, I could listen to the next 20 instalments, please stop him ageing.
However I missed the missing character and need to hear the next instalment in Spiders personal life
"The Narrator Makes It !!!!"
Have now listened to all the Dan Sheperd books, all good stories, but for me, it's the narrator Paul Thornley that makes them so listenable, please don't ever change him.
