Dangerous Lady is the iconic first novel by Sunday Times No.1 best seller Martina Cole which catapulted her to fame and made her the 'undisputed queen of crime writing' (Guardian). This audio edition contains a bonus interview between author and narrator and is a must for fans old and new, and listeners of Patricia Cornwell and Karin Slaughter.
Maura, the Ryan clan's youngest and only daughter, is the last person anyone expects to take on gangland London. But with her eldest brother Michael by her side she fast becomes the queen of organised crime. Smart, tough and beautiful, no one is a match for her.
But with power comes a price, and Maura is forced to put her heart on the line. She might be a dangerous lady but everyone has a weakness....
Special feature: Martina Cole chats with Annie Aldington, who narrates her audiobooks about their favourite characters, books and the world of Martina's novels to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dangerous Lady.

Loved it, could not put it down ones started, time changes was a bit disorentainted to listen to and I wished I had the actual paper book to be able to go back to confirm charecters, specialy in the beginning.
Loved every minute! Can't recommend enough!Martina Cole at her very best! Must read! Brilliant ending too!
"Only part of story was received. 'Dangerous lady'"
Appalling ! Only got half the book before a message saying 'corrupt down load' never use Audibke again . Having spend a lot of money on their products hugely disappointed . Would highly recommend not to buy 'dangerous lady, by martins Coke '
"The perfect voice for a good story"
Yes - the story is great and the narrator is spot on.
Michael. Because he's a strong male lead, which I enjoy the most.
She narrates it brilliantly, but I can't say that she brought anything more than my own imagination would have created.
There are always certain sayings, retorts and opinions that Martina Cole adds in her stories that make me chuckle.
"Couldn't wait to listen"
Well, this book was just like listening to the Family, unfortunately the narrator has only 1 accent & I kept forgetting what I was listening to. Very dissatisfied.
"Best work of Martina Cole"
I will never tire of listening to this audio book. I would like a 3rd book about the Ryans
Loved this book as I've enjoyed all of martina coles books ! Couldn't stop listening. Already downloaded the sequel!
great story all the way though can't wait to get started on the next one
"I totally enjoyed it"
I don't want to say as it would possibly spoil the book for others, suffice to say there are several!
This lady is a superb performer, I have listened to several of her readings and they are consistantly good but at the same time her charactors do vary from book to book and are all individuals in their own right. As always she adds significantly to the listening experience.
Neither, I just enjoyed all aspects of it.
I have listened to several of Martinas books and they are all well written and compulsive listening from start to finish.
Again I would say these books are not for those easily offended by bad language.
I will be purchasing more of her books and have gone straight on to the sequel for this one.
I have read this book but thought I would give audio a go it was brilliant bring al the family come to life.
"True to form"
I've read a lot of Martina Cole's books and this one was another hit. The narration adds to the story, Annie Aldington does an excellent job of capturing the essence of the characters. I would recommend this book
