Too much magic

The book is a thriller and I found myself exhilarated many times during it. However, I was left with the feeling that at many points there was not enough science and too much fiction. I wish there was more of a balance. Still a really fun listen.

A must listen!!

I don't even like this genre, but this book was fascinating and brilliant. Great narrator, great production. Highly recommend!!

Very good technological thriller

Very good book, good story, solid technology background. I'm a developer and I enjoyed recognizing possible application of different technology.
The narrator is a bit monotonous, not at the level of a Will Wheaton, but still better than most.
Looking forward to read/listen to the second book :)

Griping story with a reality spin

Technology is everywhere and more and more power is given back to the people. This book and reading is great, A MUST.

If you don't enjoy this, you're not human.

This was probably the most thrilling story I've ever been exposed to. Real characters, plausible storyline, and a future that could be happening right now! You've got to listen to this!

This book takes a little bit of time to get started (a couple of hours) and then it hauls ass. I was really surprised as to how much leash I gave the story as it gets very modern sci-fi pretty fast. If you like cyber warfare, computer games or Terminator-like stories you'll dig this one!

This is a book you'll tell your friends to pick-up and you'll hook them – guaranteed.

Here's the deal with my reviews:
I like entertainment. I like action. I don't want to be confused by the story. I love a healthy mix of cool, concept and creativity. I'm not a fan of overly-intellectual concepts that feel preachy, authors that try to look down at the reader like they're better than us, or anything completely dystopian. I want to LIKE the characters, that said, I FF through too much romantic context. I like love just as much as the next guy, but that's why my wife has the Hallmark Channel.

This book blew me away with the accuracy of technology and creativity using it. Dan - keep them coming.

First foray into Saurez

Fans of cyber-fiction will appreciate the insights into what is possible and the parallels of what is happening in real life. The scope and scale of the story are certainly entertaining and there are moments when I wondered if pieces and parts of this could be true. Daniel Saurez has written a compelling, epic adventure and a cautionary tale. Highly recommended.

Great book

Really enjoyed. I'm a 46 yo, father of 4. Loved the story. I have recommended it to friends and biz associates with no disappointments.
