A TV Series - Wait Until Next Week

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes until I realized this book does not end.

If you???ve listened to books by Stuart Woods before, how does this one compare?

Not very good. It doesn't end

Which scene was your favorite?

Several until the what should have been the end

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No. Because movies usually have an ending. This is like a TV show that is continued to the next week and the next and the next.

What about Tony Roberts’s performance did you like?

He was OK...his craggy voice is fun to listen to.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I would watch a mini series of this book on TV but not pay to watch it in the theater.

Not one of Woods' best efforts

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, but not strongly. I thought the story had several holes in the detective work, and a couple of dumb conclusions on the part of our heroes Stone and Dino. Appeared they were thinking with the wrong head on several occassions. Stuart seems to be fascinated with Teddy Faye who appears yet again. I've about had all of the exposure to him I care for.

Would you be willing to try another book from Stuart Woods? Why or why not?

Yes. Woods is one of my favorite authors, and everyone has a not so good effort from time to time.

Another great novel, however not as good as some

Where does D.C. Dead rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Compared to some I've listened to I'd give it a 4. It didn't seem to have the intensity that some of the other books have had. Some of my favorites are

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

That's it!!

I always enjoy Tony's performance. Great voice, easy to listen to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It's not over til it's over.

Any additional comments?

Have enjoyed all of Stuart Woods' books thus far.

Entertaining as always, BUT

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The portrayl of Stone having the morals of a common alleycat.

What could Stuart Woods have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The story would still have had suspense and caused the reader worry and concern for Stone had he only left his fingerprints; not behaved like a TOM.

Which character – as performed by Tony Roberts – was your favorite?

Stone, of course. He is exellent in the character; sounds like the character the words portray.

Did D.C. Dead inspire you to do anything?

Yes, write this review. Never written one before, probably as one can tell.

Any additional comments?

The descriptions of intimacy are flat (

I've either read or listened to all of Stuart Wood's Stone Barriington series and I find them always entertaining and exceptional.

What other book might you compare D.C. Dead to and why?

I would compare the quality and realiability of characters to the Sue Grafton's alphabet series.

Never Disappoints

Would you listen to D.C. Dead again? Why?

Yes. Stuart Woods is a great story teller and has wonderful characters. His characters have grown with each book and taken on lives of their own. I never get tired of Stone Barrington.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Stone Barrington. He has the interesting knack of comming up with the answers.

What does Tony Roberts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I was disappointed in Tony Roberts reading. I've listened to him read other books, but I don't think he did justice to these characters. In this case, I think I would have preferred to 'read' the book myself.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No.
