Janet Evanovich, number-one New York Times best-selling author of the Stephanie Plum series, teams up with Emmy-winning writer Phoef Sutton for a brand-new series of mysteries featuring Emerson Knight and Riley Moon, a dynamic duo with instant and undeniable chemistry.
Emerson Knight is introverted and eccentric and has little to no sense of social etiquette. Good thing he's also brilliant, rich, and (some people might say) handsome, or he'd probably be homeless.
Riley Moon has just graduated from Harvard Business and Harvard Law. Her aggressive Texas spitfire attitude has helped her land her dream job as a junior analyst with megabank Blane-Grunwald. At least Riley Moon thought it was her dream job, until she is given her first assignment: babysitting Emerson Knight.
What starts off as an inquiry about missing bank funds in the Knight account leads to inquiries about a missing man, missing gold, and a life-and-death race across the country. Through the streets of Washington, DC, and down into the underground vault of the Federal Reserve in New York City, an evil plan is exposed. A plan so sinister that only a megalomaniac could think it up, and only the unlikely duo of the irrepressibly charming Emerson Knight and the tenacious Riley Moon can stop it.

I drive I listen!
Her voice! Riley's voice is exact Teaxan and priceless. I love how she can adapt new voices. I do recognize one from another book but great nonetheless. This book is Stephanie Plum( who I love, hands down the best books ever in her category) subdued. Absolutely, positively entertaining. This is a calm breeze Stephanie Plum where the action is not overworked and the jokes are for those with intellectual comedic understanding. Emerson is a true pleasure. Thank you so much for another great series!!
A fun twist on sherlock holmes style mystery. It's fun to see the mad conspiracies that are so vast they don't make you worry. Emerson was charmingly awkward. Eccentric and ridiculous but with an odd sweetness that negated the urge I get when I watch sherlock to punch the brilliant mind. Riley was fun down to earth, and grounded (in student debt). She reacted in a very natural way to the man and the mystery. I can't wait for future stories, I definitely recommend this book.
I love this coupling! I can't wait until the next book 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Rich, genius team solving a crime that saves the world. Loved it!
I could not stop listening. Fun, adventurous, humorous, and well worth the credit used!! I can't wait for the second book!! loved it.
Will try book two because everything deserves a second chance, but I definitely found myself wanting this to be over at some points.
Janet Evanovich always writes stories that make me laugh, hold my breath a moment and genuinely entertains. I always anticipate her next release and mark my calendar to remind myself. By far my favorite author. I own over 600 audible books in my library and she has always been the go to author when I want to just unwind!
I love Janet Evanovich & Phoef Sutton books as the charmed series. This book is just like the series; however, it is hard to listen to and even harder to follow the story, it seems as if Ms Sutton used the same format, just changing the characters. It is hard follow, and the story is slow.
I would try any book Janet Evanovich helped write.
Loreiel King is so good, she brings books to life with making all her characters wonderful& easy to like; but my favorite is Lula from the books by the number. A close second would be Granny from the plum series.
I think both authors should really start to think how they can develop the characters better, I think there is hope for the two main characters, with better writing.
Very disappointed with this book. I know Ms Evaovich is a very gifted writer, with ability to tell a wonderful story. This book doesn't work well for either authors.
girls in the stacks
I just didn't not care for this audiobook at all!! The author made a HARVARD GRAD sound like an idiot. The mystery was just so-so and the l just can't stand the relationship between the two main characters. Anyway, I really wanted to like this. So much so. But I'm going to try another series to try.
I'm glad I came in at the beginning of Moon and Knight, they're quite a pair! Looking forward to the next installment. Narrator is well suited, you can practically tell each character by the voice. Profanity is minimal, with laugh out loud parts. Thank you, Janet, Phoef, and Lorelei, it was a great adventure.
