SPOILER ALERT! Great Book, BUt....

I loved everything about this book, but I hate a book that ends with a cliffhanger. Nice device for book sales, but beneath James Patterson.

Any additional comments?

If you, like me, prefer a book with an actual ending, don't buy this until the next one comes out. I am very disappointed in the way the ending was handled. Patterson has been a favorite author for a long time but this book will make a difference in that opinion now. Dirty trick to pull on us Patterson, just tell us it's part one going in, then we can make the decision whether to wait for the sequel or not, at the very least you would know going in. I'm thinking Audible will not post this as they may consider this post to 'ruin the end' for some people. Not true, there is no end.

An awesome book!

We listened in the car and found ourselves driving just to hear the book. No other distractions just the road and the book.

Best in a long time

I enjoyed this book more than I have the past several Alex Cross novels. The performances were great. The only thing I found distracting was the ominous background music when something goes wrong. That seemed a bit hokie to me.

frustrating

I thought Alex was supposed to be smart. A Top Detective doesn't take the time to listen to his kids on multiple occasions. Even when evidence indicates the little one is telling the truth he doesn't check it out. A baseball bat is one of weakest weapons a person can use against a person who knows any self defense. All you do is step into the person and if you're strong enough take it away and use it against them with a jab in the face, stomach, groin or elsewhere. The when injured pummel them.

a real cliffhanger

well I absolutely love this. I couldn't stop listening to it. Good thing I had a couple of road trips I had to do kept me busy while I was driving. I love the Alex Cross series.

I'm Hooked Patterson and his Cross stories, the narrators I'm not! Please do better.

Cannot wait till James Patterson's next book. The tease is not enough. Love, love love his Alex Cross series and have read everything he wrote. This one is true James Patterson at his very best. Cannot wait for next book.
