    "Suspense"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes the constant back to the past and to present jumpings

What did you like best about this story?

The last hour of the book

What three words best describe Jennifer Woodward’s performance?

Clear, soothening and yet firm voice

Did Criminal inspire you to do anything?

    Any additional comments?

Quite a lot of characters, hence need to pick on memory, to recollect who is who. Which is not very soothing for an audiobook.

    "great read!"

Am a huge fan of Karin's work and liked how the relationship between Sara Linton and Will Trent has developed throughout the series. This book follows on from her last book Fallen. This book filled in the gaps of the backgrounds of some of the main characters, Will, Amanda, Angie. I loved this book especially finding out about Will's father but I won't spoil it for you. I wasn't too keen on the narrator when she did Fallen but I have to say she was much much better narrating Criminal. Looking forward to the next one!

    Story
    "Gripping read; brilliant as usual"

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Karin Slaughter's books and this Will Trent story is no exception. The characters are well written and we get some more answers about Will's past. Brilliantly written in two time periods, it tracks the mirrored cases that have quite an impact. It's great to get the next chapter in Sarah and Will's story as well as filling in some blanks and simply being another gripping crime thriller.

    Story
    "Explains a lot!!"
What did you like most about Criminal?

It explained the reasons why Will is like he is but also a different side to Amanda you never expected that also explained why she too is like she is.. The story fills in the background details that you needed to know about how everyone was really connected. I liked the parallel story line as well. It made me love Will even more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Criminal?

When you find out that Amanda had maternal instincts for Will and that she had helped to shape his future and that his partner's Mum Evelyn, also knew him long before her daughter partnered up with him.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

When Amanda went to the jailhouse to confront the pimp as a rookie cop and when she maintained a lie to protect Will.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Will revisited his old children's home and he was remembering some of the good times he had with the lady who ran the home and how he did dangerous things with Angie as a child.

    Any additional comments?

It was a real tear jerker but you couldn't put it down. An excellent book

    Story
    "Excellent!!!"
Where does Criminal rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am a big fan of Karin Slaughter and really enjoyed this book. Will Trent is a detective who was brought up in a string of foster homes, not all good. This book continues his story and we learn all about his parents, whilst he is trying to solve a murder. Looking forward to the next instalment!

What did you like best about this story?

I like book that run in a series as you can get to know the characters really well.

    "criminal ok - great"

I love all the Will Trent books but this was a little hard to get into. The reader was great and realised at the end it needed to keep going back in time to 1975, however it was a little annoying at first, and difficult to follow. By the middle you understood what was going on more. And as it went on it got better and better. So by the end it was great and can't wait for the next one. Just hope you sort Angie out and Sara can just relax for a change kowing she isn't going to keep poping back in Will's life.

"Another good read from Ms Slaughter"

I've read a few of the books in this series and this didn't disappoint. As always with her books, the author lays down layer after layer of story, keeping the reader guessing till the end.

I think this is a book better devoured in large slices rather than small ones - I found that reading a bit here and a bit there made the complexities harder to follow, and meant I was using the rewind button quite often.

    Nonetheless, a very engaging read.

    "Criminal"

This is the first Karin Slaughter book I have read. I wasn’t disappointed. I normally read James Patterson but was looking for a new author. The plot was exciting from start to finish. I will have to get the rest of the Will Trent series of books and hope they are all as brilliant as this one.
