Publisher's summary

Eve has seen this crime scene before: the artfully arranged body of a young brunette, arms spread, palms up, body marked by the signs of prolonged and painful torture. Carved into her torso is the time it took her to die - in hours, minutes, and seconds. And on the third finger of her left hand has been placed a silver ring.

Eve is catapulted back to a case nine years earlier, when a man the media tagged "The Groom" put the city on edge with a killing spree that took the lives of four women in 15 days. Eve and her partner, Feeney, her friend and mentor, couldn't stop him before he disappeared, only to resurface in other parts of the world to kill and kill again. But now The Groom seems to have come back to where he started.

When it turns out that The Groom's most recent victim was employed by Eve's billionaire husband, Roarke, she brings him onto the case - a move that proves fitting when it becomes chillingly clear that the killer has made it personal. The corpse was washed in products from a store Roarke owns and laid out on a sheet his company manufactures.

With the Groom's monstrous return, Eve is determined to finish him once and for all. Familiar with his methods, she knows that he has already grabbed his next victim. But his sights are set on the biggest challenge of his illustrious career - an abduction that will test his skills and that promises to give him satisfaction as he's never known. Time is running out on another woman's life...and for Eve.

Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

very awesome read & performance

If you could sum up Creation in Death in three words, what would they be?

most of the stories in the "in death" series are so gripping and , well i just didn't want to stop the story, but continue until it was over. but this story, good, but not as gripping and just didn't capture me/my interest like th other books in the series.

Would you recommend Creation in Death to your friends? Why or why not?

i would recommend the series, but i would not suggest story 25. i think it is best to read it in order. maybe another person thinks story 25 is thes best one thus far.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

susan Erickson is one of the best narrator and could not imagine anyone else capturing the characters like Susan.

Any additional comments?

i just wished that Dallas would listen to others and perhaps stop acting like a baby

Just okay for me

I am listening to the In Death series in order and I have really enjoyed all of them so far except for 2 and this is one of them. I can't really say what it was about the story, but I found it did not keep my attention. It is definitely not the best book in the series.

One of my favorites thus far!!

This time Nora Roberts as her pseudonym J. B. Robb hit it out of the park!! This book had all the intrigue you could ask for in a mystery novel! I liked how she stuck to the story line without adding in all of the sexual play by play she is so well known for. I didn't have to fast forward through much of that in this book. Congratulations to her on an excellent crime novel!

The Past Repeats its Self

Eve & Finney are haunted by a old case that they thought was over but they where wrong. Roake gets a chance to stay with s case from beginning to end. To see how Eve and her team gets to the end. Enjoy

Another "In Death" Winner

I am addicted to the people in thsese books. To call them characters would be to regulate them to mere figmennts of Robb's Imagination. I see Dallas in a TV series and would cast an Oscar winner as Roark if this series of novels ever was cast as a movie or TV mini series. I hate to finish any book and can't wait to download my next one. Ericksen gives each indivual a voice that is his or her own and amaizes me with her range. The only time she comes close to duplicating is when she has junkies to quote. Buy this series, You will not be disappointed

Another favorite… Save

Would you consider the audio edition of Creation in Death to be better than the print version?

It brings the characters to life. I love to read but ... Audio just gives them their substance. I don't know quite a better way to put it

Has Creation in Death turned you off from other books in this genre?

I don't know if turned off is the word. It's just that the in death series is the best I've ever listen to or read. The depth of the characters. You feel like you know them. And you want to know what they're going to do or how they're going to grow further. I hope this series never ends. I'm 65 and I hope I get two or more year for the rest of my life.

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

That's so difficult… I think all of us women are just over the top on Roarke.. That being said she makes all the characters your favorite. It's hard to believe it's just one person with all those voices and personalities brought to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I'm not an expert. I just know that I would watch and by the films. But more then a film I think that something needs to be done like Amazon did with Bosch... They made one book several different shows. That way you have 20 hours to do a book. Netfx and Amazon you don't know what you're missing.

Any additional comments?

I read on Facebook dated in 2014 that Nora Roberts was going to do a movie. I just want to say again there are so many different new ways to get your stories out. One movie could not do this series credit. And as I said in my paragraph above those with the power to make of this type of thing happen in my opinion are losing millions of dollars. The following to this series is unbelievable. I just started listenimg myself in August. And I've gone through them all. As a matter fact I did by the end of September and now I'm listenting to them again. I can't stay away from it. Make us happy make while you guys make megabuck and make us have hours of pleasure. ,

They're all involved

I like that all characters make an appearance in this story and participate in the hunt. Really want to cheer at the end when Dallas asks Roarke to break the rules.

Another great one!

I always love to see how Eve and Roarke negotiate the lines. While most of the time it is solid black and white....shades of grey will peek through. Well done as always!
