The author and the reader work together to bring the character to life.
I do wonder why such a high tech, international operation uses the limited use English measuring standard, unless it's to cater to strictly American buyers.

Might be my favorite so far!
We all know how they end, but it’s the twist and turns to get there is where the good stuff is at and this one had lots of good twists and turns! Highly recommend.

Absolute Best of the Best of the Oregon Files
What a great story and cast of characters. Held my interest every step of the way. Mr Cussler has outdone himself on this one. I haven't read all his books yet, but I have a feeling this is his best work of all!
