Publisher's summary

For five novels, Clive Cussler has brought listeners into the world of the Oregon, a seemingly dilapidated ship packed with sophisticated equipment, and captained by the rakish, one-legged Juan Cabrillo. And now the Oregon and its crew face their biggest challenge yet.

Corsairs are pirates, and pirates come in many different varieties. There are the pirates who fought off the Barbary Coast in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, the contemporary pirates who infest the waters of Africa and Asia, and the pirates...who look like something else.

When the U.S. secretary of state's plane crashes while bringing her to a summit meeting in Libya, the CIA, distrusting the Libyans, hires Juan Cabrillo to search for her, and their misgivings are well founded. The crew locates the plane, but the secretary of state has vanished. It turns out Libya's new foreign minister has other plans for the conference, plans that Cabrillo cannot let happen.

But what does it all have to do with a 200-year-old naval battle and the centuries-old Islamic scrolls that the Libyans seem so determined to find? The answers will lead him full circle into history, and into another pitched battle on the sea, this time against Islamic terrorists, and with the fate of nations resting on its outcome.

Take another thrilling voyage with the Oregon Files.

One Cussler's Best!

Strap in tight for this exciting roller coaster ride!
I think this is only the 2nd or 3rd book by Clive Cussler that I've rated 5 well-earned stars. I loved it!

A riveting read!

I love all of Clive cussler's books and I love the narrator as well. If you want a story that's fast-paced and that you never want to put the book down check this one out. Well I listen to them but I don't want to stop I am so glad I found them on audible. I will go down the lists and get them all. I happen to love the idea of the Oregon out there keeping watch!!!

Corsair extrordinare

This was one of the best Clive Cussler books I have read with great relationship of current events and past history. The patriotic and "do the right thing" approach to events allowed my total buy-in and made me feel involved in the adventure.

My fave Oregon files

What a great book. Sets a breathless pace and kept me in the edge of my chair. I wanted to find a place where I could hole up and be left alone to listen to this in one sitting. As usual, Scott Brick was absolutely amazing.

I always enjoy the JC (Juan Cabrio) stories

Scott Brick gives another perfect read. The story had depth, and swashbuckling splendor, a perfect combination for an adventurous escape. I always hate when they end. Jack Du Brul under Clive Cussler's guidance hits another one out of the park.

Great story!

You can't go wrong with Clive Cussler. I especially like the last bit of the epilog.
