For years, Mitch Rapp's bold actions have saved the lives of countless Americans. His battles for peace and freedom have made him a hero to many, and an enemy to countless more. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage, there are those, even among America's allies, who want to see Mitch Rapp eliminated. They have decided the time has come.
Now, the powerful father of a dead terrorist demands vengeance in its simplest form, an eye for an eye, and Rapp instantly becomes the target of an international conspiracy. This time, he must use all of his vigilance and determination to save himself before he can turn his fury on those who have dared to betray him.
Consent to Kill takes listeners behind the headlines and catapults them to the front lines of the global war on terror. It sizzles "with inside information, military muscle, and CIA secrets" (Dan Brown). Vince Flynn mixes military technology with his exclusive knowledge of Washington politics to create a hero that Americans will wish existed outside the realm of fiction.

I am a Company Rep in Central Qld. I travel around 60,000klms a year and rely on my Audiobooks to keep me company on my Country Trips!
The more of Vince Flynn's books I listen to, the more I enjoy them! This was a story in which the Good Guy does get hurt for a change, George Guidall's narration is excellent. Overall this was a thoroughly engrossing listen.
Another Flynn classic!
All other Flynn novels.
I listen to it at 2X speed, so the narration is sacraficed
Too much talk radio and mindless radio , sets you up for Flynn/Guidall experience. Level storyline that gives you both sides point of view and gives you the chance to change perspective.
Storyline with suprises and detail that turns story into teaching moment and not just listening.
This is my first Guidall (and audio book) experience. Kinda old for this too. (56)
I have listened to one other Flynn book with Mitch Rapp. While I found that book engaging I found this book disappointing. Personally, I never like a character who is written to become immortal. While Rapp had and does sustain injury one begins to think how can one person go through so many "jobs" be in so much danger...sustain injuries and not be dead. Rapp after all is a human not super-hero which is how he seems to be portrayed.
A great mystery thriller that was hard to quit listening to when it was time to go to bed. Just when you think Mitch Rapp is done for and the situation is hopeless he manages to come through and save the day. Vince Flynn is truely a master when it comes to suspence and action. I highly recommend this audiobook. You will not be disappointed.
Scott Brick should have been Mitch Rapp! Or maybe Dennis Boutsikaris or Will Patton. You name it!!
George Guidall makes Mitch sound like an old man. Heck, he makes every character sound like an old man.... men, women, children... it's painful to listen to.
I love The Rapp series, but I cringe when I first start listening...
Sitting in my spa listening to this book on my mp3 player is what made this book great. But even if I was listening while doing yard work or other shores this book, like all Vince Flynn books was great from the beginning to the end. This book never got boring. The story was put together very well.
Yes, George Guidall is one of my favorite narrators. If I am not sure what book I want to listen to. I will look for books narrated by George Guidall.
No, as much as I like the book I dont have that much time to spend on a book.
Consent to Kill is an unbelievable page turner that will get your heart racing. I could understand why there was consideration to make this one into a movie--and I hope that happens. My only gripe (potential SPOILER) is that I wish Mitch was a bit more ruthless at the end of this. However, the book is amazing and George Guidall once again makes this a must-listen!

Consent to Kill brought it all to the table! Excellent writing, narration and far more emotion than I expected. Twists and turns were well-woven and a very satisfying parallel was masterfully honed. I wondered about the author's motive until the very end. This is a great listen!
The author was able to flow with the story and keep the story interesting.
Reacher, the story line about the same yet different
