    "Well narrated, a good yarn."

A good yarn well narrated by David Thorpe who has a good range of voices and accents for the different characters. The story is well crafted and unfolds very cleverly with some twists that all together made it a good listen - great for journeys or entertainment during tedious tasks like ironing! The book is long (one reason why I chose it) but the pace of the story is well maintained throughout. A good, if not great, buy.

    "Not perfect"

The story is good, but somewhat predictable and takes some time to come to the end. Good easy listen for the road.

    "Masterpiece in writing and narration"

This is a gripping story of the business world and how PR tries to clean wash dubious business practices. David Thorpe delivers a masterpiece as a narrator brilliantly impersonating each character. That is how a story needs to be performed.

    "Complex but ultimately satisfying story"

There are a lot of characters in this story so you need to concentrate to keep track of who is whom. At first I thought it was just going to be a story about the high-life among business people and their PR acolytes. However, soon a darker and more interesting story emerges and it transforms into a thrilling tussle between good and evil people.
The reader is very good and helps one identify the different characters.

Fast, pacey, intrigue - holds your interest all the way through. A cracking read.

    "Something missing"

Well, the other reviews are really positive, and I suppose it does rattle along, but it just seemed to lack any credible interest or reason to go on listening. Rare that I give up on an audio book but this one didn't make it.

    "Almost adictive!"

I listen to my audio books in the car on long commutes in to and from work, however, with this audio book I found myself turning it on every time I started the car - even just for a quick trip to the shops!

The story is engaging, thought provoking and very well narrated.

That said, I may never be able to buy another sweater free of a guilty concious and a suspicious mind...
