A smooth read
It paces itself well thought he middle drags slightly. And it isn’t a delightfully convoluted as Tom’s older works but still a wonderful book with a very good story

Started slow but but story picked up well. Classic
I loved it. Started slow at first but story picked well through out the second half of the book all through to the end. The narrator was great.

Not for the casual or distracted listener.
Most of the time, I listen to books when performing mindless functions such as mowing the lawn, or working around the house. Often I listen while commuting, and there’s the rub. Too many people named Jack.
Add to this, the “30 years ago” shifts, and if you are not prepared to activly listen, then it becomes easy to become lost in the three incarnations of Jack.
However, if you have the ability to dedicate time to the listening, it is one of the better books to come out of the series in the last couple of offerings.
Lou Diamond Phillips does his usuall quality job of the read, and has become one of my favorites.

All the characters are important and involved - knowning the history of each character, leaves you guessing which one will strike next.

I have either read or listened to Clancys Jack Ryan series over the years. One of the best fortified luster of characters that are must reads from the first to the last book. I hope Mark Greaney picks up with equal attention to details of typical Clancy
