"This third addition to the Danny Tilson medical mystery series won't disappoint either old fans or newcomers who love medical intrigue ala Robin Cook and the best medical writers in the genre. Perhaps that's because it comes from the seasoned hand of a physician who is steeped in the world of medical description and events and whose professional pen thus effortlessly describes such scenarios." The book was excellent and I truly enjoy the story as I have all of Ebel's novel's. I would probably suggest that if my friend had the time that he/she read the novel rather than listen to it. I found the cadence of the narrators voice totally annoying and much to be desired. The pauses were in odd places and took away from the authors writing, which I thought was too bad. I read her other two books an found listening to this one difficult.
The story was excellent and enjoyable as Ebel's first two novels had been. Danny Tilson is a likable character that you find yourself rooting for as the novel proceeds. Though this one didn't have the drama that her first two novels had but it was still fascinating as you consider the possibility of a potential wonder drink.
John Ruebenstien and Alexander Alexander Adams would be my top choices though I enjoy Robb Lamont, and Titus Welliver as well.
