Just okay

The narrator was fantastic. Her southern accents sounded very authentic. Jordan, the protagonist, was truly a cold hearted bitch as stated in the first chapter. Nothing in her back story was endearing. She was manipulative yet appeared to put the needs of everyone else before her own. She used men to benefit others. The plot was trite and predictable at times. The author used words, instead of characters’ actions to directly and purposely mislead the reader/listener. This a common technique of the author’s. I probably will not read a third book by her.

Good but not great

Way too many characters. Got confusing!!! Good twist at end of book though! Thank you!

Don't bother

If you like soap operas then maybe this book is for you. It is so slow and boring that it is the first book I literally cannot finish.

Worst Beverly Barton book by far

I kept listening hoping it would get better or there would be some twist at the end. I returned it, it being part of the Griffin Powell series that I have enjoyed I tried and tried to give it a chance but it honestly was a waste of time.
