Publisher's Summary

In the remote, rugged corner of Montana’s Glacier National Park known as the Devil’s Grasp, little Paige Baker of San Francisco disappears with her dog, Kobee, while on a camping trip with her family; or so her mother and father have told authorities. A multiagency task force launches a massive search as Paige fights to survive in the wilderness. Time hammers against her, and soon the nation is gripped by the life-and-death drama. Secretly, behind the scenes, the FBI grows suspicious of Paige’s parents. Their recent history and disturbing evidence links them to a horrible secret from the past.

"Exciting story of a missing child"

A girl goes missing from her family's campsite. Her parents had been arguing and not watching her.
A man is on death row for the murder of another girl many years prior.
The story unfolds and we don't know who did what.
Well written and well narrated. I will look for more by this author and narrator.

    "excellent"

This was a very thrilling novel. Any parent knows the fear of losing a child and the author did a very good job relaying the emotional roller coaster of emotions. The character development was very good and the narrator did an excellent job with the various character voices. It was non stop thrills!! I look forward to listening to more books from this author!!

    "A new addiction"

I loved the nonstop action and excitement with many twists and turns. It got so I just wanted to sit and listen and do nothing. Finally I blue toothed my iPhone to my tap and tied my tap to my waist so every word was clear and nothing missed. Great for all ages and excitement without sex and constant swearing. Have bought 5 more of his books and am currently really enjoying "Vengeance Road" playing on my tap tied to my waist and managing to get things done around my home.

    "Kept my attention"

This audiobook kept me guessing and second-guessing the whole time. I appreciated the fact that this is part of a series but the author ensured that it would be a complete and independent experience if the reader chose not to read the other books in the series.

The narrator was very good as well.

"Cold Fear, by Rick Mofina, Narated by Christain Rumme!"

Rick Mofina is noted as a Arthur of books on Crime, Thrillers based on true events. This is no exception. This one cover the massive search for Paige Vault a ten year girl who becomes lost in the mountains of Glaicer National Park, Montana near the Canadian border. Her mother Smile and father Emily and Dough Bailey are Atlantic upon this this discover and call and call the Police. Things take an unexpected turn of events which will capture you attention and you will not want to put the book down, for you never know what will happen as the investigation and search continues. It kept my interest throught. Cold Fear is a well written and spine tingling Thriller. I recommend it to all teenager and above who loves to indulge them in excellent real life adventures and not just fiction, for this is how life sometimes goes, true. The Narator Christsin Rummel is to be commended on his talent of not just a gun drum mondain Johnstone reading, but he transforms his voice from a small little grils, female Police Officers to make Officer, etc. I look forward to reading or listening to more of his books.

    "Good but long"

I like this book, but it was long and drug out it seemed. But ending is great in the beginning is great but in between it takes forever to get through! The details of Montana were pretty accurate, all the names of the cities and highways and interstates. And The Audible reading of it is good except us people from Montana don't have southern accents! LOL
