I hope the rest of the series makes it's way to audible. It's wonderfully entertaining and I'm hooked.
I loved this series!!! I hope there will be more to come!!! Excellent cozy mysteries with well-developed plots and characters. Narration by Neil Dudgeon outstanding!
I've read the previous instalments of this series and I've loved them all! After way too many psychological thrillers these were enjoyable mysteries.
In each episode, you'll learn a little more about Sarah and Jack (the main characters). Character development is steady and delightful.
Neil Dudgeon - the best narrator I've come across here on Audible!
I love this series, waiting patiently for Neil to narrate the next set!
When Jack talks about his life on the Goose. Grilling steaks, cocktails and looking out at the village
His different voices and accents, makes me smile.
I could have but I do have a job and family. LOL
I could picture the American gent on his boat and the English lady living in her cottage. I could see them hurrying around looking for clues. solving the crimes. I look forward to each new book to see what they get into next. I enjoyed their humor. Give it a try, you just might surprise yourself.
I have read the series from the first book through the 9th. So delightful and hard to put down. The setting and characters are well developed. The plots are quirky and surprising right up to the end. If you like cozy stories, you will love these.
This series has been in my ear while I gardened, cleaned house, and scooped leaves out of the pool. Very pleasant, and I only figured out in advance the answer to one mystery, a good sign! Eagerly looking forward to the next installment, 10-12, in English, please!
Neil Dudgeon is such a good narrator, and shows much more personality here than in Midsomer Murders! I'll be looking for his name on more audiobooks.
These are pleasant enough short stories and I thought I would enjoy Mr. Dudgeon's narration because I have enjoyed his performances on television. Wrong. What doesn't come across on television is his very narrow tonal range, and complete lack of emotional expression. On film, that must be accomplished with facial expressions because I never noticed it before, but narrating......I noticed.
I enjoy these stories because I listen at night and they are easy to pick up. I enjoy the relationship between the two main characters. I also like the narrator's voice.
I never guess who did it, which is my bench mark for a well written crime novel. It is also gentle and amusing.
He read it perfectly and I could imagine the characters, his characterisation was so good. It was a pleasure to listen to him.
Yes quite happily.
Can't wait for the next installments
Clever, intriguing, page turner
Cherringham - A Cosy Crime Series 1-3 and 4-6. All of them are brilliantly written who dunnits. Unusual to have an ex NYPD detective investigating crime in and around an English village with a local computer wiz but, it really works.
Definitely Jack. Mr Dudgeons voice characterisation is very convincing and Jack is written as a totally believable character.
Not so cosy
Every story in the series that has been translated into English is very good. Are of a very high standard and you rarely guess the criminal before the end as there are many twists and turns. I really hope Audible start selling the rest of the series as I can't wait to listen to them all
