I would listen again due to the easy flow on the plot
the ending when everything comes together
very simple story line and plot
This is my first Bookshot and after listening I really thought why bother. It certainly doesn't add anything to the Michael Bennett series. As far as Bookshots are concerned it might be better just to be a stand alone book. I think I would have felt the same if I read this instead of listening as I have never been one for novellas.
this is not a full length book, but a really interesting story. I think Audible shouldn't charge a full credit for this. I think my disappointment is that this is a standalone and didn't move us along either on a personal level with the main character or continued building from a prior story.
Do not, I repeat, do not waste a credit or money on these "book shots". I thought they would be clear & concise short stories but they aren't. The storyline is much to in depth and tries to wrap things all up in a nice little bow in under 3 hours. Trying to cram the story into such short parameters it just ended up giving me a headache. If you missed a sentence you're likely to be confused! This wasn't a good read for me and when it ended it still felt unresolved. These authors should be ashamed of themselves. They're releasing rough drafts or "ideas" that never developed into a full book and just tossing it out their scraps trying to make a profit on them.
I enjoyed the book, what there was of it. Was just getting into the srorey and it was over.
I am a senior citizen, working as a research librarian in a biotech company. A job I really like. Audio books are my indulgence.
I enjoy stories which feature strong, well-rounded heroes in tight situations. Bennett's such a character.
Found myself skipping ahead to finish sooner. The narrator read the story like he was just reading a book out loud. Little expression, no voice characterizations. Story had potential ... perhaps in written form.
Another great Michael Bennett story. Luv this narrator, he is awesome!! Adding the sound effects really made the story come alive.
