So good

I’ve read most of the books. The storyteller does such a good job. I love the accents

Fabulous Series. May be best one.

Loved it. Intrigueing plot. Excellent character development. Damn can JD write some heated, tasteful and frankly blood pressure raising sex scenes. Almost too much and too frequent, but not quite. Great book!

One of the Best of "In Death"

In a series I enjoy so much, it's difficult for one book to stand out above others. But Ceremony In Death, Book 5 of the In Death series, certainly stands out. Maybe it's the involvement of the opposing forces of Wiccans and their ceremonies, and Satanists and their black magic, which certainly give a twist, and a hint of danger, to the plot. Or maybe it's the other aspect of this series that I love so much -- the character development. In any case, it's one of my favorite entries in one of my favorite series.

This series has me hooked and coming back for more a bit more often than my pocketbook would like. That says a lot, since I have already read the entire series to date in print. These books are great to revisit -- if you've already read the whole series, a reread or listen enables you to fit pieces into the overall picture of Dallas's life and career that you might have forgotten or missed. Perhaps best of all is the opportunity to review the additions to the growing cast of regular characters in her world.

And just let me say that Susan Ericksen does an exceptional job of narration in this series, with great voices and characters. I must admit that I was at first put off by the voice chosen for Peabody, but it has grown on me, and it adds dimension to Peabody's frequent ironic statements.

Loved it!

Totally worth it!

Nora Roberts’ books usually don’t do much for me. But this series of “in death” murder mysteries has me hooked. I’ll make another comment and that is to praise the narrator. These stories would not be near as good as they are without her.

Very Obvious Antagonist

Story: Didn't give Ceremony in Death 5 stars because to me the villain/villains were obvious from the first couple chapters.

Also, Eve annoyed me with her unnecessary cruelty to few characters, including Peabody. She didn't accept any opinion that didn't matched her own ....worse was , she was getting it wrong the entire book , until she almost died.

Performance: Susan Ericksen narration continues to be solid and engaging.

Onwards to In Death book 6

Love This Series

I really enjoy listening to this whole series. The narrator is excellant. The story is good - many different feels (laugh, cry, anger). I can't wait to listen to book 6 and on. I will be sad when I have gotten to the end of this series

The occult has always been one of Nora’s themes

My favorite part of this book is the introduction of Jamie. I also liked learning how Eve related to a teenager. And the way Roarke got a lot of insight into Feeney and Eve’s relationship.
