I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
I found a review in a magazine about this book and was so pleased that it was available in audio book format. Great pace, great story, great detail & an excellent end.
Harlan Coben does it again!
Only he can combine, so seamlessly, the play of human emotions with the elements of mystery ... as one sees in "Caught".
Also notable - more than once, in the course of the book, does Coben present us with moral dilemmas that walk the thin line between accepted moral behaviour and what might be termed as a criminal psyche. The outcomes are far from obvious, quite disturbing at times ... but chillingly believable and discomforting.
The third most striking aspect of this work is that pace is never sacrificed for detailing yet one gets all the answers in the end. Listeners do not end up making assumptions and all questions are addressed ... but there is no information overkill.
All in all ... "Caught" is an outstanding listen!
I am loving this author and this has to one of the best. Great pace, great story & an excellent end. If you're already a Harlan fan, you won't be disappointed, if you're looking for a new author, you've found him.
I was really pleased with this book. Lately, I've been guessing the end of books far too easily, so this was a pleasant change. A good pace to the book, Great narration, and plenty of twists and turns!
I have only previously read one other Harlan Coben book that I enjoyed. This one also did not disappoint. I couldn't wait for the commute to work every day so that I could listen to the next instalment of the story. Well read and incredibly interesting. Would definitely recommend.
"Great Book With an Excellent Twist"
A great book, excellently narranted!
Found this a bit hard to believe. In fact, very hard. I know we are talking fiction here but it has to have you thinking it could possibly happen. I found the majority of the book boring because I was constantly thinking that this wouldn't happen which is a shame as I am a great HC fan and really look forward to his books but the last two or three I have read have left me thinking they are getting a bit too much all the same and the endings have been predictable. By that I mean you know it's not going to be the person it points to so pick the most ridiculous one and you have the ending. Hope he takes a bit more time with the next one.
Yes it was, approaching the subject matter from different perspectives and the consequences that can arise from this.
"another great Coben novel"
I love Harlan Coben and rarely come across a poor book. This one was no exception, really enjoyed it.
Good action thriller.
Harlan Coben is my favourite thriller writer, he never fails to deliver a book with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing up until the last page. The narrator was very good also, I thoroughly enjoyed this.
"Not one of Harlan Coben's best"
Still enjoyable, but not one of his best. As ever, his characters are well portrayed. over all I did enjoy, and will 'read' this again
"Didn't get it?"
I wouldn't say I am a lover of Harlan Coben books but generally they are an ok read in my opinion. I could not get into this book and did not gel with the characters and really did not get it. I finished it as I felt I should having purchased it from Audible but to be honest I was glad to see the back of it. Will think carefully before choosing this author again.
