Publisher's summary

Detective D. D. Warren has four days to stop a killer in this “shocking…‘must read’”* from #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner—one of Library Journal's Best Thrillers of the Year.

Charlene Grant believes she is going to die. For the past few years, her childhood friends have been murdered one by one. Same day. Same time. Now she’s the last of her friends alive, and she’s counting down the final four days of her life until January 21st.

Charlene doesn’t plan on going down without a fight. She has taken up boxing, shooting, and running. She also wants Boston’s top homicide detective, D. D. Warren, to handle the investigation.

But as D. D. delves deeper into the case, she starts to question the woman’s story. Instinct tells her that Charlene may not be in any danger at all. If that’s true, the woman must have a secret—one so terrifying that it alone could be the greatest threat of all.

Loved It!!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, I was kept on the edge of my seat! This story was in many ways unique, how can someone really think they know the day they will die when they've prepared for it in so many ways? Who and why could be killing off her friends and want her to be next? I kept thinking I knew, only to be let down by finding I hadn't figured it out. And really, knowing what you know or think you know how could there really be an unexpected ending after all?

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Potter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first time I've listened to a performance by Kirsten Potter and I really enjoyed it. She tricks your mind into thinking you are really hearing different people talk and think. It won't be my last, as I did enjoy it and tend to consider the narrator when I am choosing my next purchase.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to other mystery and suspense lovers out there!

Another great listen

Loved this series, I hope Lisa Gardner is not done. D D Warren is down to earth, she makes mistakes, kind of hard on herself but gets the job done.

I've read the whole series and this is the bes one

I like the character that DeeDee Warren has become. The plot is a little bit of a stretch but I bought into it. If another book is written in this series I will buy it.

To jumpy for me

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The book was hard to keep up with until it was over half way thru.....half the time I caught myself listening but not paying attention because I was trying to figure out who was who constantly.....

What did you like best about this story?

I like that it was about a mentally disturbed person and the effects of that......and the effects of getting away.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Been a little more expressive with the characters....I could not tell which chapter was which they half the book.

Did Catch Me inspire you to do anything?

No

Any additional comments?

It was worth listening to but I'm not excited to get another book by that author......it's ashamed too because the book could have been very interesting and intriguing!

Excellent mystery thriller

Where does Catch Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was an intricate mystery that captured and sustained my interest. It was sufficiently plausible that I did not feel that the author cut corners or courted incredulity.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Catch Me?

I think that the idea that it seems inevitable that you will die on a certain date -- by murder -- is intriguing. How does one cope? How does one gain credibility with the police?

What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?

She has a very effective voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It enthralled me.

Any additional comments?

I plan to listen to the other books in this series; this is the first one I heard but it's not the first in the series.

Good come back after that family murder stinker

She writes well I get sucked right in, sometimes I wonder if her editor is paying attention, To be fair you can only look at the document so many times. I think getting one of her books is usually a great thing

Almost too expected ending.

This isn’t the first Lisa Gardner book that has a character with Münchausen’s. At this point it’s becoming a common character back story. It’s not bad, just normal at this point. I will say that while most of Gardner’s books have me somewhat surprised by the end, this one did not. Still a good, reasonably unexpected twist at the end.
