Publisher's summary

Detective D. D. Warren has four days to stop a killer in this “shocking…‘must read’”* from #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner—one of Library Journal's Best Thrillers of the Year.

Charlene Grant believes she is going to die. For the past few years, her childhood friends have been murdered one by one. Same day. Same time. Now she’s the last of her friends alive, and she’s counting down the final four days of her life until January 21st.

Charlene doesn’t plan on going down without a fight. She has taken up boxing, shooting, and running. She also wants Boston’s top homicide detective, D. D. Warren, to handle the investigation.

But as D. D. delves deeper into the case, she starts to question the woman’s story. Instinct tells her that Charlene may not be in any danger at all. If that’s true, the woman must have a secret—one so terrifying that it alone could be the greatest threat of all.

Great Read!!!

Would you listen to Catch Me again? Why?

This story had me involved from the very beginning! My heart pumped for the suspense and twisting drama! Loved all of the characters and Kirsten Potter did a fantastic job with her narration!
I will look for another book by Lisa Gardner and/or a book narrated by Kirsten.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Always. It had twists, but not so much that you didn't have a clue. It was neat to see that the people you thought were bad were bad and good were good. ---if you figured it out--or thought you did =)

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Potter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I do not think I have listened to her but I will look for her name now

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Not my typical read but I was hooked

I loved the details given to every character & how you tried to reason with each verdict, only to end in an unexpected twist. Well thought out & never a dull moment. I’ll be reading more of her work for sure.

Enjoyable thriller with an amazing twist

This one kept me engaged. The beginning started off slow, but I found myself coming back to listen every chance I had. I liked the glimpse into Detective Warren’s complicated family dynamic as well.

Fantastic Story!

Lisa Gardner is one of the best police drama/mystery/thriller writer I have ever read! Her stories are dark and realistic. She writes the stories most authors won't touch. 'Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.'

Least Favorite So Far

I'm a fan of Lisa Gardner and and have enjoyed the D.D. Warren series, (which is odd considering I really don't like the main character much. It seems the supporting cast all have more depth and dimension.) And maybe it's because I've listened to too many of them in quick of a succession, but I got to the point where if I heard "D.D. pursed her lips" one more time I was going to scream. (Didn't anyone tell her she's going to get lip lines doing that?)

I felt the mental dialog for the 7 year old boy was way too complex and overall the story just seemed more wordy than it needed to be. Being more concise would have held my interest more and kept the story flowing better.

The plot line was good and it kept me listening to see how the whole thing would unravel. The characters are all well written...I could have done with out the "Hello I'm Abigail" parts however.

I don't want to discourage anyone who's read the rest of the series from listening to this one. I'm just hoping the next one is quicker paced.
