Audible Editor Reviews

The Baron is called in to investigate when the Earl of Lithom dies in what appears to be a riding accident. But why would such an experienced rider have such an accident? And why would the Earl's daughter claim to have seen a murdered body in the library? Philip Bird's charmingly narrates the 16th novel in John Creasey's Baron series, Books for the Baron (1949). Creasey, author of over 600 novels, is an old hand at mystery, and this audiobook is no exception. Bird's skillful characterization adds to the lure of this juicy mystery.
