Lucy has finally found her bliss as a librarian and resident of the Bodie Island Lighthouse. She loves walking on the beach; passing her evenings with the local book club; bonding with the library cat, Charles; and enjoying the attention of not one but two eligible men.
But then her socialite mother, Suzanne, unexpectedly drops in, determined to move Lucy back to Boston and reunite her with her ex-fiancé. To make matters worse, Suzanne picks a very public fight at the local hotel with her former classmate, Karen Kivas. So, when Karen turns up dead outside the library the next morning, Suzanne is immediately at the top of the suspect list. Now Lucy must hunt down a dangerous killer before the authorities throw the book at her poor mother.

I really wanted a library mystery. This is romance in which a librarian stars. She could just as easily be an insurance sales person considering the part this woman's work life plays in this book. Good for romance readers.
Come on! can someone think of another better mystery book to write? this would be a good book if main character didn't sound like she was whining and complaining through some of the book.
No. It's insipid.
No. Unless it was free.
Anyone who can properly pronounce 'library.' Its not 'Lye-Berry!"
Who produced this? Qualifications need to include knowledge of pronunciation. Perhaps also a dictionary?
. Overall the book was entertaining. Until the last minute when the narrator mispronounced Mallorca! She pronounced the L. This is an irritant with orated books.
This was an entertaining cozy mystery book. I enjoyed the characters and mystery. I look forward to the next book.
