Publisher's summary

Kathy Reichs, number-one New York Times best-selling author and producer of the Fox hit series Bones, is at her brilliant best in a riveting novel featuring forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan - a story of infanticide, murder, and corruption set in the high-stakes, high-danger world of diamond mining.

Temperance Brennan has been asked to examine the corpses of three dead babies in Montreal. It’s a difficult assignment, complicated further by the fact that her long-time flame Detective Ryan is investigating the infants’ mother, a former (and possibly current) prostitute. When the woman flees to Edmonton, the investigation is joined by Royal Canadian Mounted Police sergeant with whom Tempe had an ill-advised fling over a decade earlier. The dissonant team heads to remotest Yellowknife - mining country - to pursue an ever more sinister trail.

With the Fox series Bones in its seventh season and her popularity at its broadest ever, Kathy Reichs reaches new heights in storytelling and suspense-building. Bones Are Forever shimmers with sexual tension, crackling dialogue, and the thrilling twists Reichs delivers so well.

Tired old story line

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone that has never read any books

What was most disappointing about Kathy Reichs’s story?

It was the same old tired story line....woman and guy are secretly in love but won't show it to the other one, woman is brilliant but does so many stupid things that it shows she really is stupid, woman gets into bad trouble and amazingly, along comes guy to rescue her...sigh

Which scene was your favorite?

When she found the baby in the window seat.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Bones Are Forever?

I would tell her to rewrite the book

Any additional comments?

I don't think all the profanity is needed, this book was filled with it, unlike her earlier and much more interesting books.
I love Miss Reichs book normally and look forward to each new release, I watch Bones the TV series and adore it, but I am so dissapointed in this book. It was almost like she's tired of writing about 'Tempy'.

Very technical and a slow story. Let Down.

Would you try another book from Kathy Reichs and/or Linda Emond?

It will be a hard sell for me to do another book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Kathy Reichs again?

Probably not.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Linda Emond?

Don't know

What character would you cut from Bones Are Forever?

All of them
