Publisher's summary

A Texas serial killer called BoneMan is on the loose, choosing young girls as his prey, His signature: myriad broken bones that torture and kill - but never puncture.

Military intelligence officer Ryan Evans is married to his work; so much so that his wife and daughter have written him out of their lives. Sent to Fallujah and captured by insurgents, he is asked to kill children not unlike his own. The method: a meticulous, excruciating death by broken bones that his captor has forced him to learn.

Returning home after the ordeal, a new crisis awaits. A serial killer is on the loose, and his method of killing is the same. Ryan becomes a prime suspect, which isn't even the worst of his problems: Ryan's daughter is BoneMan's latest desire.

In a story that is devaststing in its skill and suspense, Ted Dekker brings to bear his ability to terrify and compel in BoneMan's Daughters.

Intense thriller that keeps your interest

This story really keeps your attention from the beginning where the main character is put in the postion of making a hoffific choice between keeping his family safe and saving the lives of several innocent children, too the development of what ultimately does happen to his family and how they connect, I could not wait to see what happened next. It was an excellent illustration of how someone could be pushed to do things he never normally would even consider. I was glad that the main characer did find ways to show restraint.

I will choose more books by Ted Dekker. I was only disappointed that there was no epilog at the end.

If you like intense, dark thrillers you will enjoy this one!

Language

For those concerned about language: As a Christian listener/reader, I strive to avoid books that contain offensive language. This particular novel uses God accompanied with damn twice by chapter 5. The first is chapter 4 (thought maybe I misheard) then again chapter 5. I have not listened to many of Dekker's novels so don't know if this is the norm? The couple I have listened to, language was not an issue.

Incomplete Ending

Decent story line but the ending left me hanging. Needed more details about Alvin life.

Didn’t like it

This story was all over the place. Some of the build up was pointless. The ending was predictable. I did not enjoy this book.

Intense

Ted Dekker keeps it interesting! Took a bit for me to get into the plot, but when I did couldn't stop. Boneman's Daughter is dark and gripping. Enjoyed the underlying plot with self that the main characters experience.

Ted Dekker has done it again!

I am a big fan of Ted Dekker books, and this one was no exception. Boneman's Daughters was a story that was exciting, scary, and entertaining all rolled into one. There were points that you get scared, like in Stephen King's and Dean Koontz books, but you just cannot put it down, and you don't want to stop! The man who read the book did a good job with it too, creating the right amount of suspense and action in the story. Well worth reading and listening to!

Excellent thriller.

This is a chilling and gruesome book. To think that there are people out there like the Boneman is disturbing. But sometimes I like to read chilling, gruesome and disturbing books. This was a good one.

Seek to be THRILLED!

Enjoy this thoroughly! It is a must read! If you want a believable, compelling and edge of your seat story…this is it. Ted Dekker is passionate in bringing you an evil vs good story that resonated with me in such an unsuspecting way. As a child who was adopted at birth and came to find my biological family MUCH later in life unexpectedly, I also discovered many truths that were unsettling, this novel touched me in such a poignant way. I will be seeking out more of his reads…thanks Ted!!!
