Publisher's summary

A Texas serial killer called BoneMan is on the loose, choosing young girls as his prey, His signature: myriad broken bones that torture and kill - but never puncture.

Military intelligence officer Ryan Evans is married to his work; so much so that his wife and daughter have written him out of their lives. Sent to Fallujah and captured by insurgents, he is asked to kill children not unlike his own. The method: a meticulous, excruciating death by broken bones that his captor has forced him to learn.

Returning home after the ordeal, a new crisis awaits. A serial killer is on the loose, and his method of killing is the same. Ryan becomes a prime suspect, which isn't even the worst of his problems: Ryan's daughter is BoneMan's latest desire.

In a story that is devaststing in its skill and suspense, Ted Dekker brings to bear his ability to terrify and compel in BoneMan's Daughters.

Book by its cover

I've never been one to judge a book by its cover (no pun intended) nor have I judged a book by its author or reviews... What I can tell you, is that of the all the books by Ted Dekker I have read, not once have I ever been let down. And this book is no exception. Like most of his work I have read/listened to it has a rich inner story woven within the lining. If your new to Dekker's work this one is a must, I also highly recommend Outlaw... 😍 Thank you for your time and consideration...

Life altering

This book urges a person to self examine oneself, taking an intimate observation of what truly matters in life. The book strives to look at the primary function of the husband in the home as a leader and their significance in the family. Moreover, God has to be the pinnacle point in this three sided triangle between God, husband, and wife. This book shows how the Holy Spirit changes circumstances for good no matter how tragic to reach one's full spiritual potential in Christ.

the. Worst. Book. Ever!

I cannot get over how bad this book was. There were so many sexual undertones between the father-daughter roles they were hard to count. I'm so disappointed with this supposed Christian author and the audacity he had to write to make the characters the equivalent to the sacrifices that Christ made for us and that God made for us. I am appalled.

This was a good one

I enjoyed this story though there were spells I was bored. The structure of the story is all too familiar which may mean I need change the category I choose from. Avoiding a spoiler here. Overall I was entertained but again don't want to drop a spoiler; however this story reminded me of a mix of some very well known books/ movies and for that reason was only 4 stars. I will try The Bride Collector next because I did like tue writing style.

wow!

Ted Dekker always surprises me. I can't quit listening and I must know what happens in the end. Then, the end is never what I expect.

Language

For those concerned about language: As a Christian listener/reader, I strive to avoid books that contain offensive language. This particular novel uses God accompanied with damn twice by chapter 5. The first is chapter 4 (thought maybe I misheard) then again chapter 5. I have not listened to many of Dekker's novels so don't know if this is the norm? The couple I have listened to, language was not an issue.

Great performance

Excellent performance, too much religious mumbo jumbo for my taste. I found the different parts of the story inadequately interwoven and felt that the presentation of the characters was a bit tedious. But this is just my humble opinion

Fascinating, Evil, Gripping

My first, but not my last, Ted Dekker book! I could not put it down. Intriguing, frightening, and even included some dark humor. I know Ted Dekker is a Christian and his worldview came through refreshingly, but not in a church lady kind of way. The interview at the end was interesting.
