“Fans of the late Michael Crichton will enjoy Dionne's exciting second ecothriller…. Crisp writing keeps the pace fast, and the tight interweaving of story lines bodes well for this author's future efforts. (Publishers Weekly)“The narrative flows well, the characters are sharp, and the setting is explosive. While the chaos compels the reader to turn pages, the sciencereinforces a scenario that is all too real and terrifying.” (Romantic Times Book Review)
I'm not going to say anything here about the book or the story because I'm the author. I do want to say that I just listened to Mark Boyett's reading of my novel, and couldn't be more pleased! The level of emotion he brings to my work is just fantastic. He really nailed the characters, and his accents are so much fun. I could happily listen to him all day - and just did! 5 stars for Mark - a truly excellent narrator.
I enjoy reading this author's work. Dionne continues her series in fine style. I won't write any spoilers, but I really like her character Phillip Dumas and his role in the book. The writing is tight and the dialogue masterful! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and hope to see more!
I enjoy thrillers, and found this story fast-paced and entertaining at first, but the characters kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Most of the main charactesr were too liberal for my tastes and the eco-preaching got on my nerves. I sympathize with the message, but at the same time, I read fiction to be entertained, not to be told how often we are destroying the earth even if it may be true.
