Yes, good story with great twists, turns, and surprises.
His command of voice for all the characters. Incredible talent!
There was not a lull in the story at all. Very well written with just the right flow.
Milton has now become my favorite charactor of this genre.
I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!
Author Mark Dawson calls his protagonist John Milton, "James Bond with a conscience." John Milton is an ex-assassin for the British government who is endlessly conflicted by his past as a killer and by his alcoholism. Yet, no matter how far away he travels he can never escape the impact of past actions and behaviors; enemies from his past always find him. Action, suspense and interesting situations and characters make Dawson's novels and short stories worth reading. Blackout, John Milton series Novel #10, follows Mark Dawson's tried and true formula and is a definite winner. Narrator David Thorpe is adequate, but no better.
I love this series of books great lead character and good story's stacking up keep the coming
"The best yet"
The tension built in this book to an amazing end
That would spoil it for other listeners
The prison was atmospheric

"I love John Milton"
Good story, twisted and turned
John Milton and his colleague Briggs
It is calm, and his voices of the characters are very clear and distinctive
Yes, although was happy to have it to look forward to as I walked, etc.
This is a good series and I'm looking forward to the next one.
"What a shame!"
Well that is where my disappointment lies. I have over 200 audio books so I know when a book is well read. For me, the reader here is dire. I just cannot get into the book because in my view the reading spoils it. So the time spent in trying to by pass the voice to the story was time ill spent. \Maybe it is just me. I strongly suggest that you listen to the example right through.
Not much impressed about the story or the style of writing
Now your asking!. A different reader. I now this must sound really hard, but I just cannot help but feel so disappointed in the performance.
"Excellent, kept me riveted right to the end"
Excellent twists and turns that kept me listening on the due of my seat. You know it's good when you realise that you are tense, just waiting to know what is going to happen next.
"Great as always"
All these books are a good easy listen.
Nothing too cleaver no twists for the sake of it like so many other books these days, Just a good solid entertaining read.
