I very much enjoyed the first couple of books in this series but this one less so.
It seems to ramble a little bit, as if the author wasn't really sure where to take the story and settled for this.
The reader is good but I feel like he had less to work with here, especially with the action scenes. I blame him less than the author.
A little disappointing but average which at least isn't BAD.
I find it hard to believe that I knew nothing of this series of books until a few weeks ago, they are fantastic and I will recommend them to everyone. Beyond Judgment doesn't disappoint, like the previous two books, it is an action-packed thrill ride. Great writing, superb characters, a few twists and it leaves you crying out for more.
RC Bray is on fine form for the audiobooks, the narration is fantastic and you feel like you are there with the characters. Let's also take a moment to comment on the accents, how does he do it? You never have any doubt over which character is which or what Country they represent. It just astounds me every time I listen to them. If you haven't listened to these yet, do yourself a favour and go get them.
No doubt I would recommend this audiobook to a friend. . All the main characters(that lived) from "BR2" are back to lend a helping hand as Jake Bronson goes toe to toe with a new, megalomaniacal villain in this hardcore, explosive third entry in the "BR" franchise. Richard Bard is definitely pumping up the testosterone as this storyline progresses.
Probably the entire battle scene on the island.
I've heard R.C. Bray's other performances in the in the Brainrush series and he did just as good a job if not better than he has in the other two books. I think R.C. Bray is one of the better narrators out there. He does a really good job with the individual characters and he never makes any of them sound stupid!
Man, I don't know. How'bout, "If you f**k with my family I'll kill you!" Something like that might work.
No, that's it.
I have no idea how Richard Bard manages to maintain the incredible pace and intrigue with his thrillers, but he does it yet again! I assumed we were almost at the conclusion of the story when I noticed there was still 2 hours of the audio book to go!
Fabulously captivating characters and relationships that reel you in and insist that you care deeply about what happens to them.
The narrator really brings the characters to life.
Impossible to choose any one in particular!
The plot does sit a little on the fence of being not quite sci-fi enough to be sci-fi, but not wacky enough to be 'standard' adventure, but that became the norm from the first book in the series, so I've stopped worrying about it and got on with enjoying the adrenaline-packed ride!! :-)
