Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

It's hard to pinpoint one best thing, but I like learning more about Roarke's past.
Again, hard to pick just one. All the characters mesh with each other and play off each other so well. Roarke is awesome, but what is he without Eve? Peabody and McNabb. Feeney! Summerset! Mavis! Trina!
She manages to articulate the characters so well that I know who is speaking even without dialogue tags. Even the two male Irish voices are distinct. Excellent job.
The narrator changed to how she read Peabody's part and does no sound like she did in earlier "Death Series" books. I miss the old Peabody.
I have a long commute during the week and listening to great novels always help the time go by more quickly. I love this website!
I just love the character "Eve Dallas" and the person doing the reading is always consistent.
Susan, you are the best. If they ever do a tv show on this book, you have to be Eve!
I wish! I can never listen to a book in one sitting no matter how much I love it (LOL)
More J.D. Robb/Eve Dallas!!
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
Another great listen, just loving the In Death series. Narrator is excellent. Top series and author. :)
Reading has always been my guilty pleasure. I would take stacks of books from the library. Now I listen to Audible.
I enjoy this series so much. Susan Ericksen puts you into Robb's story. You can see each character and get to know them. The details of the stories makes you want to be there to watch up close.
It is a perfect package.
I love the entire series by JD Robb.
I particularly like this one as it brings a bit more of Roarke's past into the picture.
The character continuity within the series, the complexity of the plot, and the exciting action.
The action and climax around the end of the story.
Roarke, his Irish brogue....I'm slowly getting to appreciate her performance of McNabb, too.
Yes. It was exciting and enjoyable.
I am a retired Court Reporter and I LOVE books. All kinds of books but my favorites are mysteries and period books. I like civil war books and some biographies.
I couldn't even finish listening to this drivel. Initially it seemed to be a good story despite the frequent forays into "romance novel" prose but that just became unbearable. The lead characters were stopping mid-investigation to "get it on" with poorly written descriptions of both their anatomies. The majority of the so-called sex scenes were pointless and had no reason for their existance. Eventually I just didn't care anymore how the mystery was resolved. I just couldn't listen to it anymore. I have listened to other JD Robb books and while I sometimes felt she went overboard on the romantic descriptions, they generally were appropriate to the plot. Not so in this one. I won't be wasting my credits on any more.
