In the newest addition to the New York Times-bestselling series, Stone Barrington comes face-to-face with a beautiful woman from his past....
Stone Barrington receives a rather unexpected phone call from Arrington Calder, the ex-girlfriend with whom he has a son. Arrington's much older husband, the actor Vance Calder, has just died, leaving her a fortune in Centurion Studios stock. Arrington has plans for the money and asks Stone to represent her in the sale of the company. But when he arrives at her home in Bel-Air to finalize the deal, things take a nasty turn. It seems many of Hollywood's rich and beautiful have Arrington and Centurion in their sights, and Stone finds himself dragged into a surprisingly deadly web of intrigue.

I've always loved the Stone Barrington series and Bel Air Dead does not dissapoint. This is yet another great book in the series and listeners will enjoy catching up with old characters we have not heard from in a long time. Stuart Woods wrote on his website that he is required to pen quite a few books every year. I do not know if it is for this reason or intentional but the Stone Barrington books have been taking on a much faster pace of late which I really enjoy.
While I won't give anything away here, there are some really interesting plot twists that I think will introduce some new and unique characters in the near future. If you decided not to listen to Bel Air Dead but you are a fan of Stone Barrington, I would suggest you read this one.
Stone and Dino take California by storm with the help
of some of his old friends. Great listen. Very
There was a good sense of realism. This is how people would react in this situation. The plot was bit strung out but I enjoyed it.
Most interesting, I think was about the business of show business. Emotionally, though there wasn't a sense of urgency. This was more melodrama than suspence.
stone Barrington's cop buddy from NewYork. Dino. although. he sounded a bit too much like Max from Hart to Hart.
Yeah, pretty much only to see who they chose to play in it.
Leisurely, paced.. Could housed more tension.
The reader is very entertaining. Love the players.
Stone and Dino are the reason why I read this books
The comments that Dino makes just make me laugh. It is often at a traffic light and the others in traffic must think I'm crazy :-)
A fun read.
I enjoyed reading about LA. I think the pompous characters are hilarious.
Tony Roberts does a great job narrating. He's always consistent.
I enjoy the narrator very much. He does a great job delinetaing between the characters.
This is a typical Stuart Woods storyline but it is entertaining with some twists.
Excellent! I have heard one other narrator and I was very disappointed. Mr. Roberts' makes the story come alive!
This book follows the same formula as all of the other SW books i've read. If you're a SW fan, you'll like this book. It's nothing new. Comfortable and fun! loved it!
I have reviewed my book list and theonly S.Woods I purchased was Cold Paradise in Sept/09
I don't remember this one must go back and read it again .Sorry
